Thumbs up 2013 Sony Gamescom may feature unannounced Vita games!

    http://www.gamespot.com/news/sonys-g...ust-20-6412960

Sony's PlayStation briefing at Gamescom will take place Tuesday, August 20 at 6 p.m. BST, the company announced today.

The presentation will showcase "the future of all things PlayStation" and will be "packed with news" on both announced and unannounced PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita games.

"Suffice to say, you won't want to miss it," Sony said.

Sony's Gamescom press conference is expected to focus on the company's PS4 lineup.

After the press conference Tuesday, Sony will hold a panel discussion with guests like Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida, Beyond: Two Souls director David Cage, and Assassin's Creed writer Darby McDevitt.

GameSpot will be in attendance at Gamescom, which runs officially August 21-25. Microsoft executive Phil Spencer will host the Gamescom keynote address on August 21, while Electronic Arts will hold its briefing on August 20 at 10 a.m. EDT.
I don't think Sony is giving up on the Vita. I think it's just like I said, the Vita has not hit the 2 year mark. It just needs a little more time.

Currently Playing: Lumines Electronic Symphony (Vita)

I'm keeping my expectations really low, Sony likes to beef up it's lineup with Flash games. If they announce something big (GTA, Fallout, TES, Gran Turismo, etc.) then they'll have redeemed themselves.

Cool. WOuld love more Vita games.

Also, as a wildcard, I'd love for them to tell us what that random unused port does.

    #IndieStation4 and proud of it.

Is it possible for it to be a TV output method? A HDMI on the other end?

I'd love that. But then how would we play the games if the Vita is hooked in, unless we can Bluetooth a PS3/PS4 controller?

The same as how it worked on PSP, it'd just put the image on your TV. Unless I misinterpreted your question.

lol I might have misinterpreted yours.

I thought by what you said, that they could do some sort of cable out (to the TV). But then how would you play the games without having to sit close to your telly?

Vita definitely has at least 2 years after ps4 realease. Sony has its hands tied down with it after all the talk with ps4 2.nd screen thing. I don't think they will eat all those words.

Yeah that's what I meant lol. If the cables like 5 meters it'll be just like PS1/PS2 being hooked up unless they make some sort of wireless device which plugs into the port on the Vita and a special HDMI thing into your TV that transfers the image.

I need my damn NBA 2K14 Vita port lol.

I learned not to give up on anything... Everyone marked PSP for dead until like 3yrs. into it's life. Sony has all these mini developers and and indie's on the Vita's side, now they need more of the big-timers on there. The Rockstar's, 2K's, EA(Not just sports and racing) and 1st party need new big IP's for Vita to float.

If MLB The Show 13 is any indication, hopefully we can see more fully fledged sports titles on Vita.
Madden 13 wasn't bad - if you got accustomed to the fact it was based on Madden 12's engine. Nevertheless, it was still the full version albeit dumbed down a little. Same with FIFA 13 I believe.

Yes, there will be a fair amount of Vita games at GamesCom. Even our studio (Bloober Team) will have some announcements concerning Sony's handheld.

Any hints? My vita needs some love.

    Hints concerning our titles?
I can just say that the new games will be the natural outcome from that we learned with our previous games.

Concerning other things? Wait and see...or better yet - come and experience yourself
