    nice interview, thanks for posting.
Everything seems to be working as programmed for Sony, which is great. Every single move they did so far has been positive and leaned towards gaming. I'm really excited about PS4 and the interaction with ps vita, which by the way is a fantastic device.

I hope they use Mark Cerny for the future of playstation meaning the PS5 and so on.

It's pretty obvious why Sony went through AMD for the PS4 and part of it is because it's cheaper. The other reason is the tech in the APU's are probably something that fit the needs for the PS4 and definitely something that make development easier I would think.

Cerny has already gone on record saying he wants to go back to the software side of the equation. Doubt we'll see him help with future playstations

I bet he will still be involved in some form or fashion, Shuhei Yoshida wanted him to keep making games, but that in no way means that he won't be involved in future Playstation development. It is damn nice to see that he got them back on the right track now and hopefully we are heading down the path to a new golden age of video gaming!

Sony should never consider releasing this guy any time soon... Keep him until he decides to go

But i do not see that, with him being the front man for this entire PS4 P.R, he will never leave

He definitely has one of those "I could listen to him all day" kind of voices, Neil deGrasse Tyson has that same ability, I could listen all day to him explaining stuff!

But he doesn't technically work for Sony! But since him, Shuhei Yoshida and Andrew House are very close, I don't see him ever working for the competition!

Cerny is what they call a "storyteller". He starts talking and everyone sits in a bliss quietly to listen.

No matter how awesome he is and how great a job he did no doubt he isn't comfortable with the PR side of things. Not saying he doesn't do a good job...but imagine doing interviews and this stuff does not satisfy him. Someone that loves making games etc doesn't want to be a PR person....they want to innovate and design...he will likely go back to making games and good for him. As long as Sony keeps the approach they are taking now...reaching out...gathering info....utilizing experts....they should be fine in the future without him.

Yeah I've seen a few interviews where it really looks like he's not interested at all. To many interviews can do that to someone however.

One of the things that stand out to me, is a lot of people was worried about remote play if games used L2 & R2 buttons, but now that's not a worry because the top left and right of rear touch pad can be used.

I wish people would ask him new questions ... it is always the same ones and he is always saying the same things. Been hearing these lines from him for the past 6 months. Getting old.

    What I would ask Cerny

1.) What was the process to choose which baseline GPU you used? Did you guys choose the 7870 and then modify it? Did AMD give you a baseline 7000 series GPU and you modified them from there? Or did they give you guys just the blueprint and you built the GPU from scratch based off the 7000 series.

2.) Has Microsoft or Nintendo ever come to you and wanted your Consultation on games/hardware/ since your not technically with Sony and just a Consultant?

3.) If you had the option to do only 1 thing would it be designing hardware, designing games, or designing engines/middleware for the first party's?

4.) How much better looking could games on the PS3 have been with 2GB of VRAM?

5.) The PS3 had 2TFLOP of computational capability. What is the real advancement that these new systems will bring this generation graphically?

6.) How about a next-gen marble madness on the PS4?

7.) Can you please help them finish The Last Guardian?
