Is that different than from this gen?
It's funny that in this day in age people can steal as long as they have a reason too. Even if that reason is created by the thieves themselves.

I remember the multi-tap you got it for the PS2 and you could connect up 6 controllers and it took two generation for them to bring it back

    HOW SAD

PS3 has support for 7 controllers but REALLY???? Has anyone tried this? I mean I can't stand to run 2 person split screen on my 68" TV....I would never try that. I'm sure COD could run that...not like the graphics would take a hit LOL!

Me and my friends used 6 controllers a lot on ps3 when playing sports games so it's a nice feature to have

Not a deal breaker. You could barely find any game that supports more than 4 players.

That's what I remembered, and was wondering where all those controllers would come into use. Now we know.

The hardest part of this is trying to find 8 people who actually want to play the console!

We've used 7 controllers during Bomberman at the local game night . An 8th would have been useful then.

No..not a bad thing..and we know PS4 only supports 4...but this is something that clearly is only viable in a handful of situations and people. I imagine this is .1% feature...that will only get used by 1% of people 1% of the time. Still...its something Sony isn't doing this time around.

What were Sony thinking allowing an odd number of controllers for PS3?

10 years ago I used the multiap on PS2 for 4 player Time splitters 2 and played 4 player Goldeneye /Perfect Dark a hell of a lot but these days I don't have enough friends over to warrant the need for local multiplayer.

    Thats just me, times change.

Useful for the young uns though.

Ps4 only supports 4? I thought it was 7 If you don't have a bluetooth headset or keyboard synced

It was the Bluetooth technology. It allowed for seven simultaneous devices to be connected to the PS3.

You all are acting as if MS was gloating about this or something. Looking at some of these replies.

This is just a feature that was on the was site that we didnt know about so I made a thread about it.
