    lol it wouldn't.

At least WoW didn't. You have to buy an expansion and then keep paying $15 a month until a new expansion comes out 6 months down the road.

Yep. That's why two months was enough for me.

    No.

I want to own, not rent, a good game. Save the expansion packs for a sequel.

Absolutely not. Very rare games could do something like that and even then I rather pay for PC-version (if Warhammer 40k: Eternal Crusade is anything good for example).

I've played enough WoW to know that investment in a stellar MMO is like nothing else in gaming. For that reason, I've got money and faith set aside for Elder Scrolls Online. Little else would convince me.

I also don't believe in playing extra money for playing a game since I already paid a big amount of cash just to play it to start with ($65 with tax). But there's some games like FF 14 which I will have to jump the gun when it hits PS4, because I really enjoyed the experience. I also think DLC should be free I mean I know the game companies are just trying to make a living out of gaming but imo $60 is already a lot of money for a game and they makes us cash out some more with DLC, hopefully some more developers follow suit with Guerrilla Games and think like they do about DLC making it free.

No, it seems to be the totalizing objective of modern console videogames; it's effectively the summation of where we've been headed for the past number of years. DLC I can understand to a degree, at least one's not forced to partake in it and for the most part your gaming experience isn't scuppered by it. To impose, however, a fee after purchasing the initial product seems nonsensical and downright abusive to consumers. (Of course it's dependant on genre, MMORPGS the most striking of exclusions.)

    Yes, for several reasons.

First of all, the community in free-to-play games is $#@!. People do whatever they want as they can just create a new account should they get banned. Just look at LoL, Dota and every other $#@!ty F2P MMORPG.

Secondly, if I pay for a game, I want the whole package to be available and not have to pay for extra stuff, cosmetic or not. I don't want to have to pay for a certain set of armour, I want to earn it in-game.

Wow delivers monthly content and there's so much to do.

Expansions came out two years after each other at the maximum, one year at the minimum (and that was between the first and second expansion.) The first two expansions are now included in the basic WoW-game, so everyone gets them for free.

For just $15 a month it's amazing how much content you get.

you did not just go there.

oh man. you do not want a 12 page reply from me.

EDIT: I agree that it's not perfect but it's the best PvP game I have ever played and for this reason, I can never get into another MMORPG...unless maybe it's just for doing dungeon $#@!...which won't hold me over long.

Can you two peeps please stop talking about my equal favourite game (and in terms of length of years) of all time?!

    Must. Resist. Re-activation.

re the thread's topic, however: Because of my WoW addiction, I'm not sure yet that I'd go to TESO sub system. I've got it pre-ordered for both the PS4 and PC (in case I change I my mind on which format to finally end up playing it on), but sometimes I figure that since I have invested sooooo much time playing WoW and love my toons on there that were I to go to a fantasy mmorpg, I'd probably end up back on there.

Or well, they ruined PvP later on with their updates and expansions. PvP seemed to be pretty good back in the day.

I'm not paying for TESO, but I'm definitely buying WildStar.

No. I always find when i have a game that requires a subscription i feel like i'm almost being pressured into playing it.

At least with a game like GW2 I can choose when I want to play

I've never been able to describe it but you nailed it. We shouldn't feel pressure to play something we want to enjoy.

Yes, if it's the right game. I'm getting ready to gladly pay monthly for FFXIV:ARR because my time spent in the beta showed me how much I will enjoy it. I tried the FTP game DC Universe Online and deleted it from my PS3 after a few months because there were too many things hampering my enjoyment of it. FTP is great for when you have no money (which was me for 3 years), but the quality in a good sub game more than makes up for the monthly fee when you can afford it.

Oh, and as far as DLC is concerned:

    Shut up and play games
