    Robocop (2014) trailer

Just been released online so at the moment there are no better versions on YouTube.

Quite detailed and brutal for a first trailer. I'm assuming that they've had to explain a lot in the first trailer to show people that it's not attached to the previous films.

Personally, I just have to detach this from the old films and keep in my mind that they're not linked. Not too sure what to think right now though, although it's got a great cast! And it's awesome to see Michael Keaton in a prolific role once again

I thought it looked fine. Difficult to judge from a trailer but god knows Robocop needed a reboot.

I've just watched it again properly and I think it does its job as a trailer.

You have to switch your mind off and stop thinking that it's at all related to the previous film, apart from having the same character.

The concept of having a rogue cop/intelligence has been done many times before, but I'm always a fan of that, and it's made me want to see more.

I love the fact that Batman and Commissioner Gordon are in it Keaton is awesome!

I have only one thing to say and I hope it makes it into the movie.

Came in ready to hate it.. and despite the black robocop (what the hell?) I think it looks pretty good.

I'd definitely see it one day assuming he's not black for most of the movie. (killing my childhood man.. I had all the toys even though the first one was out two years before I was born lol)

Oh boy, I'm probably gonna get e-killed for this, but I actually thought Robocop was really silly. It had its moments, it really did. But Paul Verhoven's silly satire gets in the way too much of the time. And I love Total Recall, the original. Of course, those moments I'm speaking of in Robcop are when Murphy gets his suit on, when the baddies test that super duper sniper rifle out that has exploding shells and when Robocop fights the security bot prototype that goes ape $#@! on the board members. I will note that the portrayal of Detroit is very accurate to this day.

The rest is just so terrible. But those moments make it a cult classic.

I like the cast in this. You have Gary Oldman, Sam L Jackson and Michael Keaton, among others. I don't like the principal actor. Looks a little too skinny to even be a cop, let alone be registered for this project. However, his voice and before the paint job to black in the trailer makes me wanna see this. I don't like the flying heli-whatever thingy. I'm getting Terminator vibes from it. But a poor man's Terminator.

    I dunno, we'll see.

I hope Samuel L. Jackson plays the villain because he plays an awesome villain.

I'm the same with Back to the Future!

I really enjoyed the old Robocop films though, I always remember the first one being really violent

you have your opinions but ill be surprised if it does come off with a buzz then just might have second thoughts, some films are like that. ppl & critics say oh it isn't anything gd but after seeing it turns to a whole different story.

I don't think it looks all that bad. They have to take a wole new spin on it.

But of course, people will moan. They moan that it is nothing like the original..They essentially want a modern shot for shot reboot.
Of course, if they did that or kept it clsoe to the original people will moan that it just copied the old and or ruined it...or of course moan that they just copied it to make money instead of doing something new.

I realize they can not win and at least give them credit for trying to do something different with the story. Christ people.

I will still stick to my opinion and feelings towards this film and will strongly disagree with its direction and how it is flawed

I do have rather low expectations for this film myself. I'm learning to take a non serious approach to Hollywierd films.
