Sounds good. I use my DS3 to play a few games on the PC already.

I have my doubts about this. But I have the motioninjoy app. So I don't care too much about this.

    Hoping this would happen.

Sounds really awkward to be honest, tablet/phone on the desk (or wherever) head looking straight down. neck ache here we come.

I like the idea of it being Bluetooth, if they have the right support than it would be nice to just sync up a DS4 to anything that games and also has Bluetooth.

With the touch pad to control the mouse pointer(with buttons for left/right/center clicks, and perhaps other shortcuts), all that's missing is a little keyboard attachment and I'll be gold.

This will make the DS4 the perfect controller for HTPCs. Start computer, use touchpad on controller to click the game, use controller to play the game. Win.

DS3 also "works" without drivers, but without them it can't be supported by games. What they said is not very clear. Developers have always been able to use PS controllers on their dev kit PC's because Sony gives them the drivers, they just don't release them to the public.

    then what about this:
It is also reported that the touchpad will also be able to be mapped like the touchpad on your everyday laptop.
    That's not a dev kit.
According to the Redditor, “Galak-Z currently is not stable on the PS4. Thus they had PCs with DS4s [Dualshock 4's] on the show floor running the game. I asked if this implied the PS4 controller works on PC, which he said ‘yes it works as a regular USB controller’.” Also implying that the PlayStation 4′s Dualshock 4 will work as a simple plug-and-play controller, possibly even with bluetooth (if we’re lucky.)
This also sounds like anyone could use it.

If the touch pad thing is true then maybe, but it wasn't stated by the developer who this story was based on. It's just a rumour from left field

"Regular USB controller" can mean anything and many of those don't work with 80% of games anyway. Once again, the DS3 can be used as a regular USB controller. The real question is: will it be Xinput?

i did not know that you can use the DS3 as a regular USB controller. I wasn't able to play anything with it until i used the motionjoy driver.
