    Battlefield 4 PS3 to PS4 upgrade

I'd rather go in and trade the physical game in and get the PS4 physical game, but more options are always a good thing.

    http://www.joystiq.com/2013/09/13/ba...a-in-box-code/

Specially marked retail copies of Battlefield 4 for PS3 will include a one-time use voucher allowing you to upgrade to the PS4 digital version of the game for a small price. This is how the "discounted" upgrade scheme will work, first announced by Sony president Andrew House last month during the company's Gamescom keynote.

Presumably this is how other eligible PS3 games can transition into their PS4 counterparts, though we've followed up with Sony for confirmation.

Only four games are participating in this promotion as of right now: Call of Duty: Ghosts, Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag, Watch Dogs and Battlefield 4. The pricing to go from PS3 to PS4 version for each game is determined by the publishers.

The in-game ad for this promotion says the upgrade fee will be less than $10 so it's a pretty great deal if you ask me, but I think I can wait a couple weeks without BF4 until I buy it for my PS4.

Same. I won't be using the upgrade incentive for any. Good for those that want both though.

It's just a 'more cash scenario' for sony/ea. Some people will, some won't.

I think it's basically like trading in your game for a heck of a lot more than what you'd normally get for it.

See this proves they can offer discounts to digital purchases.

because they can sell that disc back to the consumer/retailer and then give you the digital version which costs them nothing.
