    My sediments exactly as well. I was hoping for 2.30 tf, but we got 1.xx tf instead which was a bit underwhelming.

    What do you think ps5 will be? We already have 6TF GPUs (provided we don't go to cloud streaming and still get actual consoles after this gen)

    lol...no. It was supposed to be a kinect game at first and kinect didn't even launch until 2010. The first time we saw it was at E-3 2011(code name kingdoms), so 7 years is way off.

    The concept started back in 2006 but actual development on the game we are getting didn't start 7 years ago.

    yea, exactly. New IPs generally start out that way and then pitched to publishers.

    Difference is though that Evolution had worked on other games while it was being made, these guys however have been creating it since 2006.

    Early concept art within Crytek showed hooded characters with swords, loosely resembling the protagonists from Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed franchise, which at the time had yet to be released.
    This was done in 2006, sure the very first demo was not shown to anyone until 2009 but who knows how long that was in the making for.

    yeah...I am disappointed, mainly because the recent hype that MS made this console out to be. Grant it, it is a 1st year generation game but with the way MS has been talking I assumed this was an easy accomplishment regardless if it was 1st year or not.

    So did crytek. The same studio has also developed 3 crysis games during that time and they have been working on Homefront 2.

    The url doesn't really prove anything. The whole history from concept to fruition goes back seven years but that isn't actual development. They didn't even pitch the concept to MS until 2009. 2010/2011 is when it really kicked into gear. It's right there in the article.

    a quantum computing chip!

    its the natural order that components coalesce into one single chip. ALU's and other functions all sat separately on the motherboard iirc. And now they all sit inside the CPU, which has now been joined with the once separate GPU.

    So now we have APU's....what's going to take the GPU's spot on future boards?

    btw, not all ps4 exclusives are 1920x1080p. My most anticipated one isn't;

    The Order 1886
    It runs 1920x800p due to the cinematic 'black bars' on the top and bottom of the screen for the movie type of feel but I guess even some blu ray movies do that

    Regarding The order What kind of resolution is 1920x800 its not 16:9 thats for sure, so when viewed on our TV screens will we see black borders top and bottom?

    Its cinematic base ratio 2:40. It what makes movies tend to look "bigger". But yeah there will be black bars but they shouldn't be too bad, It isn't going to be stretched to fill the screen. I think its important that its maintaining the 1920 part, that way there is no post scaling issues and will fit the pixels.
