The PlayStation Vita is - at last – to get a Monster Hunter game, namely Monster Hunter: Frontier G, a title that is also set to appear on PlayStation 3 in Japan.
The official site for the game seems to indicate that the Vita version will be cross play with the PS3 version with up to four players attempting quests to battle monsters.
Capcom have always denied any plans of a Vita version of the franchise so it looks like Sony may have persuaded them otherwise.
Monster Hunter: Frontier G will launch in Japan next year on PS3, Wii U and PS Vita in 2014, the franchise’s tenth anniversary.

Monster Hunter: Frontier G Announced For PS Vita
Too little too late I'm afraid.
We'll see how it does but I think it's too late now. 3DS got it first and is where most of the fanbase is probably gonna stay at this point.
I've never cared for Monster Hunter so this isn't news to me--but I've read that Frontier is considered the worst of the MH games, and that this being offered up was the equivalent of a slap to the face.
I think you need to pay a subscription to play this one.
This is only the start, MonsterHunter 4 Ultimate Edition is coming to PSVita next year as well, and surprisingly the series will stop being made on Nintendo lol, Capcom is ultimate troll.
"We think keeping our game series on one console will make it stale" That's interesting when more than half their games are multi-platform.
Anyways I don't care for MH anymore, mostly because of how Capcom does business. I'll import GE2 over this.
