    Holy $#@!! Obviously if you intentionally want to scratch the damn thing, it shouldn't be that hard to accomplish! But normal use will not scratch it up as opposed to dvd.

    So blu ray discs can survive steel wool but only just. Tried it back when the ps3 first came out and I received a demo disc from a publisher :P

    Figured I might as well try it on something disposable.

    It's MUCH harder to scratch a Bluray than a DVD, but Bluray can DEFINITELY be scratched. Bluray is also easier to break than a DVD is.

    Bluray disks are not the hardest substance on earth. They won't scratch through normal use, but if you think they can't be scratched at all grab your favorite game disk and a quartz crystal, and give that disk a good hard rubbing with the corners of the crystal and see what happens.
    So what you are saying is that I need to stop storing my quartz crystals in my blu-ray cases? DAMNIT!!!

    of the 50 used games that i may have bought this generation, about 2 of them were scratched SLIGHTLY because they were cheap bargains. mission accomplished. enough said.
