The question for you is....what would make you worried about Kinect?

Does anyone actually believe that the Kinect 2.0 is going to work as well as they claim? If you remember the claims for the original Kinect you should know not to believe it. The same thing goes for "the cloud". To be fair, Sony is guilty of this $#@! too, especially with the PS3 launch. I haven't heard nearly as many tall tales with the PS4.

but what about the kinect 2 demo? that looked pretty accurate. it's very possible that the software didn't utilize it correctly.

Right now, nothing. As long as it improves on the first, it's good enough for me. The NUI stuff is more important for me.

No , I wouldn't be worried because looking at the history of their last two cams, I wouldn't be expecting much. I would much rather have MS push this tech than sony.

On more than one occasion its voice recognition, being demonstrated by a Microsoft rep from the US with an American accent, needed three or four repeats of ‘Xbox Home’ to do what a single button press could have done in half a second.
So if even in American access is a problem, just imagine if your English isn't exactly American accent.

I will never believe voice recognition will work well. The research on voice recognition has been going for sometime yet, this technology has not been perfected. There are so many factors and variables involve especially in game/TV since the distance between the user and the console/tv is far. Same thing is happening with Siri on iphone. The feature is not being used anymore.

It all depends. Some voice technologies work very well. Kinect's voice tech is actually very good.
