    Replaying Missions

Is anyone else as annoyed as I am with this?

I don't know why R* didn't add the ability to simply restart the entire mission rather than checkpoints, since if you re-load from the checkpoint on a majority of the missions, gold is impossible to achieve.

So instead, you have to kill yourself and then quit the mission, dealing with the long load back to story mode. Then you have to deal with the load again while you bring up that mission you wish to replay. There are tons of missions I want to replay to get gold but I know it will take more than once and don't want to deal with the load times.

Hopefully this is something that can be added in a patch, because it really should be there.

I did not even bother replaying the missions, because i have no interest in the medals reward

    Yea, I know, that's what I'm doing.

But if you're in the mission you can't go back to the replay mission menu and restart it, you have to fail it, then exit back to the story mode, then start up the mission again through the menu.

I'm glad they only had the trophy for 70 gold medals, because if I was forced to go through all of them for it, I don't know how much wasted time that would be (of course then they may have made it easier).

How is the trophy actually? Easy enough if you pick and choose well?

The stranger missions (46 I think) were all fairly easy to get gold on. Then there are 4-5 rampages that are also pretty easy. There's a couple you could get from the flight school that are pretty easy as well. The gold medals on shooting aren't too difficult if you use the best weapon in it's class and have bought extended mags, even easier if you use Michael as you have his special to slow down time (I actually had to use him to get gold for 1-2 medals).

Doing those gives you a pretty small amount needed from the main missions. I looked back through my main mission list after getting gold and there were a good amount that I didn't get gold on that were insanely easy... like Chop, where you only need to not crash the van as much, enter Chop's view for 10 seconds and Franklins special for 7. Or when you buy masks, took like 20 seconds.

It's really not too hard, just can be time consuming.

I haven't replayed any yet but I intend to replay the heists. I want to do the opposite approach I took the first time and see how it plays out.

Focus. Control. Conviction. Resolve. A true ace lacks none of these attributes. Nothing can deter you from the task at hand except your own fears. This is your sky.

I replayed the first one earlier. I wasn't sure how much they let you alter, but glad it was that you could go about the whole thing differently. I ended up doing it the same but with different crew members, and it worked out a lot better this time around.

Ah, great. Wasn't sure if the shooting training/flight school sections would count. Is there a counter for how many gold you've gotten?

I don't think so, I had to just count through. And on second thought, I'm not sure if those count... I might have been wrong. I think it's with just what's replayable.

Still, even with those it's not too difficult. I think there's around 45 strangers/freaks missions that are ranked and there's about 40 that require minimal replays. That leaves 30 out of 76 story missions.

Also, I just read elsewhere that you don't have to get all objectives in one playthrough. So on timed missions that also require X amount of headshots, you can get the headshots in one try and then go again with speed. I'm about to test it out myself.

And it works! I was under the impression you had to get it all in one go. For The Long Stretch I had the 10 headshots but the three other objectives had failed. I just replayed it while getting the other three objectives and failing the headshots. At the end of the mission I was awarded silver (as I failed the second objective) but once story mode loaded back up, I checked and received overall gold.

That's going to make a few of these so much easier. If I fail one part now I'm not going to have to worry about restarting the entire thing. I can just play it again while focusing on that missed objective.

If I play the assassination missions again, are the stocks affected the same way?
Be polite, be professional, but have a plan to kill everybody you meet.

Very good question. I would like to know that as well. Cause if yes then there is no need in replaying the whole story. However I doubt you can do so.

Can't remember where I saw it but I don't think they're affected again. You do get one or two tips from those random encounters, however.

I don't believe they'll have any effect on them, since if you replay the heist missions you don't gain money. Watching football right now but in the next commercial break I'll try to check it out.

Alright, I did the Gold Coast one. Before the mission it was at 268.29 and didn't change after the mission. Within the mission I tried going to the internet but for whatever reason it would let me. From my experience with the other missions, anything done on a replay changes nothing in your game, except your mission ranking.

Is there anyway to rechoose your crew..i did the last heist but didn't save my game because i choose a bad crew member and i was wondering if there was anyway to go back before the last heist and re select?

On the heists I've replayed I have been able to choose your option as well as your crew.

That's with heists you've already completed though, so not sure about your situation.

You may have to finish it first, then. On mine I have 'The Big Score' right after the three Gauntlet missions. I'm not sure where you are in the mission, I guess you chose the crew and now you're supposed to be meeting them somewhere?

And I'm down to 15 missions left to gold. The most difficult one left is one of the earliest ones where I need to catch Jimmy within 10 seconds.

I do not see the point in replaying unless i get rewarded better than just gold

Yea, I just have to need to get all gold. It's kind of OCD.

I'm down to needing four. Two are final missions where I just have to complete them, another is glitched and the fourth is just impossible for me. Taking a break for a while but once I finish those two I'm going to replay the heists differently.
