Ambient music in GTA V, who else loves it?

The inclusion of ambient music in the pause menu and story missions makes an already epic game like GTA V feel more epic. I value the little things that help with the presentation, atmosphere etc. and I'm wondering if others feel the same way.

I love it, very immersive. The sight of Tangerine Dream on the original soundtrack bill was surprising to say the least. The mixture of ambience and electronic works great for denoting the feel of the game in certain moments.

Most of the time I enjoy it, sometimes I don't.

I forgot what mission it was but I was replaying one yesterday and had to turn the volume on the TV down because it was that annoying. Then when I was just doing the Merryweather plane one and loved the music playing when I was parachuting down. Also there's a certain mission with Michael that has some great music playing whenever your free falling.

I also just wanted to add that the music once you get 4 wanted stars is indescribably awesome and kickass. Its completely perfect (also adds on again at 5 stars) and sets the extact mood and tone required for it. Reminds me of FF7 boss music and Driver 2 Chicago level background music.

It fits right in, i feared it would be so out off place in a GTA game.. But they have pulled it off so well and that is thanks too RED DEAD's successful use of it

Actually, does anyone know the song that plays at the very beginning of GTA online? Sounds sorta' '80s-ish, bit of synth too.

The ambient music and original score are completely awesome. Very appreciated and it's amazing to feel the extra cinematic tension and thrills

It is rare that a game pulls it off so well and GTA V has done it and it is so pleasant

Agreed. I really like the atmospheric music, they did a good job there.
