I hate the new "skip this ad" full-screen ads on psu

However, if it keeps PSU open and running, I will reluctantly put up with them.

I really wish there were another option, though.

I've seen it once, and don't remember how I got there.

I see it quite a lot when I first come to psu.com, though I dont recall seeing an actual ad on that page. Seems to only happen on my first visit of the day.

Welp, found it. Clicked on the PSU.com link at the top of the page, and was redirected to the skip ad page. I think I'm going to enable ad block plus. I've donated a decent amount of money to the site via subscriber fees for myself and a few others for three years. I ALSO donated money via the "PSU needs your help" float bar.

I STILL SEE ADS lol. Goodness.

Yeah from what I understand it only happens once a day.

Yep. Cookie based, so once per day if using the same browser. Come in on another browser or computer and you will see it again. We did not enable this on the forums, however. If you come directly to the forums, you won't see the ad.

It's a redirect, so not necessarily an ad.

some are a nunce, because some have a fast count down and it makes you leave the section and come back again

Yeah...it's once a day. We're going to use it to promote our own content too like podcasts etc or major features.
