So, in light of the Pulse headsets not working at launch and me not wanting to play on the really crappy HDTV speaker that sound like they're going to explode if turned up barely.....I was wondering if regular headsets that use RCA/AV prongs would work.
I read on these forums where someone said or there was a thread saying it's just the bluetooth headsets that will need a fixing....but then I asked before if there will be RCA/AV jacks int he back....
...and I dont' really know what to do.
Right now I have a "cheap" pair of Turtle Beach basic stereo headset for $40 that I'm using for my PS3...I figured I'd just use those and save money until they figure out which more nicer ones work.....but I still have time to return these and get a nice headset that uses the RCA jacks if theres an adapter.

Anyone know if the PS4 will come with a RCA/AV adapter like the PS3?

^ yeah it only comes with an HDMI cable, you going to have to purchase the additional adapter if needed.
Ps4 will only work with Hdmi but iam sure somebody will come out with some kind of av adapter as a matter of fact
I bet mono price has one all ready
There's also the Toslink out (digital optical output) for the Audio, you can by a converter from Toslink to 3.5mm and/or RCA output if you just want to get the audio to your existing wired headset.
There will be no AV cable because there's no AV output on the PS4, so don't expect a third party one in the future unless they can make one to work via USB or the aux port. What you could do is buy a digital optical cable and converter which would make the digital signal analog.
