Yes, but the trade off is... you live in New Zealand... so it's okay.
"The biggest adversary in our life is ourselves. We are what we are, in a sense, because of the dominating thoughts we allow to gather in our head. All concepts of self-improvement, all actions and paths we take, relate solely to our abstract image of ourselves. Life is limited only by how we really see ourselves and feel about our being. A great deal of pure self-knowledge and inner understanding allows us to lay an all-important foundation for the structure of our life from which we can perceive and take the right avenues.

Also, I think Yanks and Brits will laugh at that speed.

Personally, it's more to do with bandwidth (and to an extent, being throttled) limits. I can deal with leaving a download and doing something else, but I don't want to have to "budget" my downloads. If I buy a 30gb game on steam, and buy a couple of PS4, PS3, Vita titles, I want to download them and not care if I'm over the cap. That's something most kiwis can't say.

I know Slingshot throttles you for unlimited and I've heard iffy things about Orcon as well (the only two with semi-reasonable priced "unlimited" broadband).

But who knows how this Kim Dotcom thing turns out.
Im happy with what I have now, 150gb. And limits are increasing all the time. we are getting more and more.
I imagine by the time fiber hits my area, 500gb packages will be the norm.
We already have 2 gb plan for my school with 100mb fibre.

A 2 GB plan for a 100 Mb connection? That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. So if you were using the internet at full capacity you would use up the 2 GB plan in a few minutes. Neat!

Oh yeah definitely getting better. ANd like Is aid, I'd trade-off speed for bandwidth. And while 500gbs may be enough, increasing game sizes will dictate otherwise (heck Shogun TW2 on steam is like 27gbs + innit?) Imagine if you were going full DD or even bought more than the average gamer. That 500Gb isn't only just for games too (web streaming for movies/songs etc).

I mean, the price + unlimited is acceptable, for what we have at least - I just wish they didn't throttle you.

I just don't want to have to worry about downloading, re-downloading stuff. Don't get many demos because of this. Often times, I'll just buy off EB Games and keep the receipt and hope I like it.

And it scares me to think that if US/UK are barely ready, what's that to say about us and AU? We'd be considered third world, and will that mean Brazil-like prices!?!?!?

Yeah with a BYOD policy and 500 computers already in the school, I suspect 2gb would disappear rather fast.
We usually hit 1300+ devices connected on any one day.

I thought 2 GB could've just been some crazy NZ thing.

But 2 TB doesn't seem like much either with that many devices.

    I'd take a 2TB data cap + UFB.

Why do you snicker? We get our own hobbits, trolls, dragons (though these are expensive, and avalable to the masses for an "Obamacare-like" system).

Murray is our defence minister (includes police, military, etc). It was great to see him act in FotC. First time I've seen an appointed official in a tv series.

    #IndieStation4 and proud of it.
