    GTX 780 Ti.... wayyyyyyyyyyT for it..... read inside!

    The new NVIDIA’s flagship is much more than GeForce GTX 780 replacement. Despite the fact that reference card will only arrive with 3GB memory, it does not mean that there won’t be the cards with more memory. The rumor has it that NVIDIA GTX 780 Ti will be available in 3 versions: 3GB, 6GB and even 12GB. Which version are you going to choose will only depend on how deep your pockets are.
    Goodness. I'm guessing $2499.00 for this...

    12GB VRAM Seems Overkill but we are entering the 4K era with PC gaming so having that much VRAM to play with will come in handy at some point just not anytime soon though I would imagine.

    but i'll be sticking with my SC 770 ACX for a long time yet.

    Still got my GTX680 reference from April 2012 and it's going strong! There have been times where having roughly 4.5GB VRAM would've helped on my triple monitor setup (Metro: LL and Shogun 2 for instance) but 12GB is just insane!

    12GB is just absurd. Are there any games that even saturate 4GBs of VRAM at 4K?

    Even next gen games at 4k only use 2.5GB

    the max I see them going is ~4GB

    ^ Actually on a 4k setup I would say an easy yes, these graphs are taken from a 1080p monitor at max, even a dual screen with everything turned off still yielded significantly more than 2GB! Double the pixels and add in all of the extra fluff and it'll hit close to 5GB IMHO. Of course having a PC to even run a game smoothly at 4k is pretty much impossible right now with all the bells and whistles.

    @Itachi
    I'm already seeing some people doing triple-monitor setup with 1440p monitors.

    I totally called this in a thread a while back, actually. Higher memory in the consoles is going to naturally push up memory available in GPUs. It's been on the way for a while now anyway, but now its process is accelerated.

    This card is obviously for multiple monitor setups but the cost for this is going to be equally mind boggling imo
