    Outerra Engine - Rendering Entire (Natural) Earth at 30fps on Radeon 6850



    I remember trying this before and being impressed with it, but here they've really improved the terrain and vegetation. I would love to one day see this kind of technology in a game.

    Well it's really just an interactive tech demo. It doesn't have AI, and models are pretty static. Though you can fly in a jet that operates on actual air physics around the globe (in the paid version).

    pretty cool though lacking in geometric detail (which is understandable). Something like MMOs will love this sort of tech
