COD is like pop music. Lots of people like pop music. Some people can't stand it. But for people who like it, you don't have to do a whole lot for your next pop record except sound like you did on the last record. That's what people want from you, same thing you've always been with maybe a little twist.

The COD online experience is much improved by not using your headset and turning off chat audio mixed over game audio.

Oh, and don't be sorry. You like what you like. I actually like Michael Bay's Transformers movies and I'm not sorry. I like Proust novels, too, and I don't apologize for that, either. And believe me, actually liking Proust rather than just having been compelled to read it for a class, that's pretty weird.

So basically we have COD Ghosts running at 720p with a constant 60fps on X1 whilst ps4 is 1080p with frames rates dipping below 60fps in some areas. Something tells me that IW were rushed and not telling the truth....

    Your thoughts on this debacle?

I have no intention of buying into the series again. But getting bent out of shape over slight dips in framerate...when it is 60 FPS most of the time? People these days.. sheesh. They'll find something to complain about.

I don't really need a water cooler/remote control as of right now.

I cant say I wont buy it because chances are I will have to finish paying for my stepsons LOL Just dont see the attraction. I am not a huge fan of FPS to begin with but some are fun. Halo on the PC rocked but then again I am a story driven player.

Well, when you convert 50fps to a 30fps video, you won't see any frame rate drops.

Framerate dips are necessarily a bad thing. If the framerate goes from 60fps to 45 or something, you'll barely notice a difference. As long as it doesn't go to like 25fps maybe 30 even.....constantly I don't think it will be that big of a deal.

Pretty strange. This review of the PS4 version says it runs 60fps "without breaking a sweat." http://www.gamingnexus.com/Article/C.../Item4213.aspx

And this review says a "a few occasions of framerate drops" but didn't hurt the experience and gave a graphical nod to the PS4 version in the space level in particular. http://gamingtrend.com/reviews/post-...l-duty-ghosts/ So not sounding like a big deal so far. A patch should take care of it. And heres another positive review of the PS4 version http://www.darkstation.com/reviews/c...ty-ghosts-ps4/ And no mention at all about framerate issues. Same with this review where there is a short overview of the PS4 version http://www.gaming-age.com/2013/11/ca...-ps3-xbox-360/

I just look at it as a necessary evil of launch titles. They're almost never completely fleshed out, especially cross-platform and cross-gen stuff. The fact that the devs have enough confidence to run the game at full res and get 60fps out of it in doing so is a much better feather in the cap than a steady framerate.

Besides, what can it be compared to? The Xbone has a review embargo right now. Some people are ready to pitch stones over anything right now but there's no other system to reference the PS4 version against other than PC as it stands.

I played FC3 at full settings with no Vsync and got anywhere from 45-80fps. I barely noticed a difference. It may be something you see and say "oh look a framerate dip", but at those framerates it shouldn't hinder your play.

In contrast, I played ME2/3 at 60fps with Vsync on at the highest settings.....and I can honestly say that the 2 games (FC3 and ME2/3) were enjoyed equally.

    Thats just me though.

Now I would take a smooth 60fps over a lot of other options, but still.

Ummm, its kind of IW's own fault, no one is getting terribly bent out of shape.
    When you say.....

in order to maintain 60 frames per second, which is something we absolutely positively did not want to encroach on
    http://www.edge-online.com/news/spot...isparity/#null

We did our best to make the best looking game on each console, and making sure we nailed down 60 frames per second. That was a key pillar for us.

Nice try with the OP System Warring while talking out of their butt about a steady framerate @ 720p.

And the result that the Xbox one version of the game stuttered on youtube points to the fact that it dipped right below 30fps :S.......

This seems to be happening with all formats. So to me sounds like it isn't the systems it's just poor optimization at the hands of IW. I honestly did not see this coming at all! /sarcasm
