    Joystiq: Dead Rising 3 suffers framerate issues and stuttering.

    But as soon as I had to travel somewhere far to trigger the next cutscene or event, I discovered any kind of speedy vehicle kills the frame rate.

    A ninja bike ripping down a long street caused noticeable stutter, as did an expensive sports car I found in an alley. The slower steam roller, on the other hand, not only was a smooth Sunday drive through zombie-infested streets, but also had the added benefit of squishing the undead into jelly. Faster vehicles pretty clearly seem to be the culprit; it's a worrisome pattern, given the little amount of time before the game's release on November 22.

    The herky-jerky visuals might've been easier to brush off if the driving was more fun, but many of the stock vehicles in the game feel like boring, rigid blocks of steel. They don't turn well, they don't brake well and they don't feel like you have enough control over them.

    I guessing due to the microsoft embargo, they are using Previews as stealth reviews.

    What native resolution is Dead Rising 3?

    Josh Bridge: 720p. And I'm really happy with that, with the sheer amount of stuff we have in an open world game locked at 30fps, that's just brilliant. Of course our UI (user interface) runs at 1080 native on top, but no, we're a 720p game locked at 30fps.

    The funny thing is : "It's less to do with specs and more to do with what you do with those specs" does not sounds right when you say : "we're a 720p game locked at 30fps."

    Preview is just that. Preview of the game before it is released. Reviews are when they beat the released game or get pretty far and give it a score. Can't wait to get DR3 in early 2013

    I know. but don't reviewers have pretty good ideas of what score range they will end up giving when they preview a game?

    I would imagine they have some impressions after playing the game for a couple hours, easily. Obviously they wouldn't want to rate anything "officially" without trying out as much of the game as possible in order to be thorough.
