    Remote Play works as advertised

Played some KZ: SF on my Vita this morning. Works great performance-wise. Only issue is that the small screen makes it difficult at times to see details that would be more obvious on a TV. I think some games will lend itself more to remote play than others.

How much input lag is there, if any?

Not really noticeable. Played some AC 4.....love how they use the touch screens in place of the R2/R3 L2/L3 buttons!

Does it give a downsampling-like effect?

    Remote Play Is Awesome!!!

I've always new that Remote Play was going to be good, but man this $#@! is awesome!
    I love it!
Was playing AC:4 on my big screen, g-friend gets home, changes the channel, I pause the game,
open the PS4 Link app on my Vita...and holy hardware Batman! I've got Black Flag on my Vita in less than 30 sec!
This $#@! actually works...and works well! I haven't encountered a single frame rate drop, which is really surprising.
Now what surprised me the most how good the resolution looks. Even with it's 960x544 resolution, the small screen makes it look like 1080p, or at least 900 or so. Runs smooth and looks amazing. It's so surreal playing such a good looking game in your hands.

What are tour experiences so far with Remote Play?
    Good? Bad?
I hope My experience isn't the norm.
I have good internet, but nothing special, just the standard lowest priced package Comcast has. Which is still good.

Let me know how its working for you.

Really glad to hear it's good, was hoping it would live up to expectations and be a great idea! Now all I need is a Vita and a PS4 and I can join in the remote play fun!

They both become utterly useless once you start to open up Windows....

If you have the money go for it! It's amazing if you have the situation in your living room where you need to let others have control of the TV on a daily basis, then this is a miracle!
But me having the vita already from a year ago makes it easy.
If I had to buy them both at the same time I would have definitely got the PS4 first,
then save up for the Vita, which is now $199.99, a very reasonable price now for what it can do and the power it has. It's just gonna be hard to play Killzone: Mercenaries when I can play Shadowfall instead, which looks unreal on a handheld. Still a great game. Same goes for Liberation.

I'm glad to hear how well it works. I picked up my PS Vita not too long ago but I don't really play it that much. I do see myself using this feature though so I can be lazy sometimes and play from my bed, my PS4 will be in my entertainment room. I still haven't downloaded the ps app for it yet though so I'll have to get around to doing that tonight. I can't wait to try this out! Thanks for all the info guys.

Like... The game is still being rendered at 1080p yeah, but being streamed to a lower res screen. So that's basically a form of downsampling

Remote play working from day one. Good stuff,Sony!

Just played some "Knack" straight from my Vita here. Except for the tiny-weeny subtitles, i can't complain.

Trust me it looks better on the Vita then on your 1080p TV.
I thought I would see digitization or a grainy look from downsampling, but
believe me when I tell you, it looks amazing! I have a 42in Samsung 1080p smart TV but because of the Vita having such a small screen it literally does look better!

Other than a few hiccups it's been extremely well done. Played FIFA14, Resogun, and COD on it.

Thanks for that. I was wondering how games would deal with missing buttons not the Vita. I tried Remote Play once but couldn't get a consistent connection before I had to go do something else. My sons and my daughter were streaming different HD Netflix programming and I was downloading COD Ghosts to the PS4 and it was just no-go for acceptable connection speeds.
