Is anybody using PS4 not in the PSN supported country?

    Hi,

Mine country is not supported yet.
    Are there any region locks?
CC cant be added but I wonder if psn cards still work with ps4 in a non supported country.

    Could anybody confirm that?

Has Sony ever had any region locks? Besides PS Home of course.

I assume you can create an account for any country, just like you could with the PS3. But I am assuming here.

You can purchase PS+ from any country. Just gotta create a US or UK account and have a valid credit/debit card.

I'm pretty sure it will work because I have a US PS3 but I've been living in Thailand for the last 16 years and I use it here with no problems. I have a US account that I use and I buy PSN Cards online and I also have PS+ for it. I also use the PSN on my main account (Singapore, long story) and have PS+ on it as well. I don't see why the PS4 would be any different.

Now you might not be able to use your current account (assuming that your region will not be available on the PS4) but I doubt they'd block you from using other regions. I ordered my PS4 through Amazon back when they were first announced but I have to wait until Thursday at the latest for it to reach here. If you still don't have a definite answer by then I can let you know.

I live in Bahrain thats in the middle east. i got my ps4 from amazon US.
on my ps3 i did not have ps plus, as soon as plugged in my ps4 and try to use the credit i got from Amazon, it promted me that to complete the setup i was required to input my creditcard details. Obviously if you have an American acount you are required to have an american credit card with an american billing address , so my card wasnt accepted and my credit i got from amazon couldnt be redeemed.
I was succesful to redeemnthe code, by plugging my ps3 on and using the ps3 store, inwasnt required to enter my credit card details to complete the setup.

i can confirm that the same issue happened on several machines, and the only way possible was to redeem through ps3.

    i hope this helps!
