    IGN - PS4 Review

Well, this is what I expect most to say and give as far as a score and write for this system. Great Job Sony.

    http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/11/...ource=facebook

    THE VERDICT

Like any launch console, the PS4 isnít perfect. The software is lacking some key functionality, the DualShock 4ís more distinctive features are underutilized, and remote play is still rough around the edges. But in spite of these issues, the PS4 is an exceptionally well-crafted console. It's impressively small and attractive design sets a new bar for the industry, and its powerful hardware offers not only stunning visuals, but higher player counts, constantly connected experiences, and larger, more detailed worlds.
And did I mention how great the DualShock 4 is? Itís pretty amazing.

"remote play is rough around the edges"?
I disagree, remote play works exactly as Sony advertised it to work.
It does everything they said it would.
I have been using it ALOT because I have a g-fiend and one TV, and not only does it not lag, but the picture comes in better than my Samsung 1080p smart TV because the led screen is so small it still looks 1080p even though its not.
Remote play is amazing and I'm extremely impressed with it.
Also it has been confirmed that once you tether your 4g phone to your router at home, you can then go anywhere and connect your Vita to your phone and use remote play. So far that's the only confirmed way to use RP away from your router.
Sony never said RP would work any better than it does now.

Great review, I read it last night as the missus was cooking dinner. Will be interesting to see what they give the Xbox 1 in comparison!

no you dont , if you make your console the primary then you can play downloaded games offine. IGN guy later edited his review.

Editor's note: an earlier version of this review stated that content purchased digitally from the PSN would be made unavailable when disconnected from the internet. While accurate, users can forego this limitation by designating their PS4 as their primary system. We apologize for the error.
