EA will continue making Xbox 360 and PS3 games for years to come

    http://myxboblog.com/2013/11/20/ea-w...years-to-come/

Well there's confirmation as if it was ever needed. It'll be a cash cow for years more.

Not sure if it's a good or bad thing. Good for people who aren't going next gen yet but bad for people who are going next gen now IMO.

EA is still putting out PS2 games, never held back the PS3 versions. I imagine a lot of devs will do this, 160M+ PS360 owners is too many to ignore and make next gen only games.

It was certainly an inevitability - they've only stopped making PS2 games in the last two months. Install base is huge so it makes complete sense from a business perspective to delegate a few teams to work exclusively on ports for the systems.

How...unsurprising. You can expect Ubisoft and Activision to also do the same. They are the big three. But seriously, this isn't surprising in the least. It's EA, they make sports games and will continue to do so. I bet you they have the same programming code, and only change one or two things, plus some subtle graphical changes and call it the next year sports title.

Sports games for the most part even racing games like NFS and Burnout and FPS games like Battlefield. Makes sense as not many people would fork over $400 or $500 to get a PS4/Xbone just for the same title with better graphics.

Go for it EA but stop making Battlefield games on last gen consoles. They have a hard enough time playing on the new tech.

EA hasn't made a game since (Or published rather) Madden 2006 and Def Jam: Fight For New York. Just thought I'd throw that out there.
