My ps2 won't spin the disc.

I have a ps2 slim that my friend gave me. He said that there was nothing wrong with it but it came with no wires. I used my ps3 AV cord and a computer charger as a power cord. When I turn it on, the ps2 makes noise that sounds like a fan. I went to browser and it didn't show any disc and it didn't say disc loading. When I opened the disc cover, the cd didn't rotate at all. I need help please.

    Items PlayStationPS3 Slim
Try flipping the Slim upside down then powering on.

    or

What you need is a hacked memory card with Free McBoot on it, with that you can load games off a USB HDD.
The drives in these old PS2's will always conk out at some point, with a USB HDD you can easily get another and there is 2 ports on a PS2.

Another card is called Memor32 / Memento, same deal.

Then just rip your games like any other on PC to a thumb stick or USB HDD, it'll even speed up load times!!!! lol.
