    Obutto Ozone ARRIVED!!

I got this earlier today, and put it together...

The thing was packed really well.

    http://www.mainperformancepc.com/pro...aming-$#@!pit/

This is what it looks like on the site where I purchased it from. It came with everything you see in the pics. (except the racing gear of course)

I finally got time to use it, and OMG. This is how racing is supposed to be at the very least. WOW. I spent an hour racing in it and I am beat to hell! I was sweating a decent amount towards the end with some intense racing. My hands are sore from clinging onto the wheel for dear life it seems lol.

It is super comfortable in the seat the rig came with. It has forward and backwards adjust rail, just like in a real car, and the back of the seat can be adjusted by a lever, again just like a real car. It is sturdy. I didn't have any problems with it at all. No rocking, etc.

Here are a few, not so good pics:

Yes.. and it's ridiculously different from playing with a controller. Even using the wheel on a wheel stand isn't anywhere near the same as sitting down and doing it properly.

I'll try and mount my go pro on the left shoulder of the seat and record some footage of some races.

You wouldn't want it. If I posted the whole picture, you would turn around and walk the other way.

Looks cool but I am not into steering wheels and seats when it comes to gaming, Id rather drive a real car in that case.

I'd love to drive the cars that you get in the game, in real life, on a real track. That would be my preference if I had the opportunity. Sitting in this seat, driving with a wheel and pedals, is much much more rewarding for me; when compared to using a controller sitting on the couch.

How have I not stumbled across this thread. Now I can see why you wanted a nice monitor to put there. I don't play many racing games but I bet if I had that I would.

How much better are wheels for racing games? Was debating buying a G25 of eBay but not sure how worth it would be for me as a casual racing game fan.

Next up is a mod to make it move about and apply G-Forces when turn corners.

Tilt the $#@!pit the opposite way the car turns creates the gforce effect.
Brake and the $#@!pit tilts forwards.

Obviously its never going to be as great as the 4 or 5 G in F1 cars

It's a world difference. I know when I first started with a wheel, it was on Forza 2 I believe. I'll have to find the video. I had been working on a time I needed on the Ring, but no matter what, I couldn't get it. I was able to get it once I got a wheel/pedal setup going. That wasn't in a $#@!pit either. Trust me, if you like racing games, sitting down using a wheel/pedal setup is a ton more fun compared to a controller.

Depending on how things go over the next few months, I might be getting a complete motion simulator.
