PS4 UK game prices are ridiculous!

Could someone please explain the reason behind game prices in the UK for next gen games being over 50? PS3 and 360 games are usually 40 or less and even cheaper on PC, that's about the equivalent of $82. There has been no price increase of games in the US so why are they doing it here? Will the prices go down eventually? Helppp.

I remember seeing something on the news a while ago, I think the reason they gave was tax and that was about it.

@op. They say tax, but I reckon it's because they know kids will get there parents to buy em. It is essentially rape.

I would never buy a new game again. 60 usd is my limit.

I buy the biggest titles new, around 4 a year, and all the others used for at least half price.

Pricing for both the new systems is ridiculous to be honest. I wish they would have stuck with the pricing of last gen games.

In Australia if you buy a game from the likes of EB, you're looking at between $89 and $109,so we get the rough end as well, but the bigger department stores sometimes have games like COD, Killzone, AC:4 on sale for around $79 to $89

Have you used them at all, even the price of some of the blu- rays are cheap. Might have to give them a go.

I got a ps4 "knack-pack" on Friday with killzone extra and it was 430, so I got 10 off what I should of paid for k/z, but I agree about the prices, I would love a racing game too, but at 54 for need for speed in Asda, I think I will have to wait!

I can do $60 USD per game, but I do check for deals before buying; unless it's a pre-order.

I used to buy movies from their stores but that side of the business went under and now they appear to be only online.
