No, I meant what I said. The PS3 does not use 512mb of ram for it's games.

Wii U has 4x more ram than PS3 and does not show it.

But then again, the ram does not equal gpu power.
Wii U has roughly 2x+ usable RAM than the PS3. PS3 has about 400+ usable RAM. PS4 has about 5.5x RAM than the Wii U and is much much faster.

but just looking at the videos, it's clear that the PS4 version has DX11 effects like water and i'm sure physics are better too. but looking from casual person's perspective, it's not a big enough jump looking at the specs. that's to be expected though, it's a cross-gen title, they did not focus on next-gen consoles.

I don't know how the Wii U version plays but I will bet it has a better resolution and fps than the PS3 version too.

The Wii U version suffers from screen tearing and drops in frames that matches the PS3. The resolution does look a little better on the Wii U however.

DF: The Wii U version consistently falls 6-10fps behind the 360 and PS3 releases, resulting in a jerky, often uneven update and a profound, unsatisfying reduction in controller response.

well you might have a point there. i guess i'm not surprised as Nintendo always goes with weird setups. i guess also the PS3/360 are much more mature in terms of software/tools and developers have a better grasp with them, and these engines were probably made with PS3/360 in mind, especially because the user base is much higher.

that is pathetic, Wii U should at least match it since it has better hardware in there.

Which bothers the hell out of me. They did a pretty good job with AC3 on the Wii U. But AC4 seems like a lazy half assed port.

that's the issue with the cross-gen titles right now. limited time/budget, many more platforms so they're spread thin and in the midst of all this cluster-$#@!, the next-gen titles were given more attention, which is fair.

also pretty much all of these cross-gen titles can be assumed as rushed overall because we know the consoles themselves were.

Tomb Raider seems to be an exception to the cross-title "rule". Each Next Gen version has a different developer attached to it apparently.

Nixxes is doing the PS4 version (Which according to the site, they did the PC and PS3 versions) and is helping with the Xbox One version, while United Front Games is developing the Xbox One Version.

i would think that helped a little but 1) i don't like multiple devs working on a title. that's too corporate for me. 2) it still does not address the optimization issues. sure, that might help with the time constraints and other than the Wii U, i have not heard many issues...i don't know for sure but aren't the X1/PS4 versions very close in performance and specs? if so, that might explain it.

however, they're still not being pushed to their limits.
