How much will you pay for PlayStation Now?

PlayStation Now was announced yesterday, a service that will allow gamers to stream a back catalogue of PlayStation games on various devices.

They'll be a subscription fee, or users will be able to rent games. What do you think would be a sweet price point?

For me? I'm not interested in playing older games, I just don't have the time to play current and old. If I was to subscribe, I would pay no more than £10.00 a month.

i think they will have to go with a price relative to netflix/lovefilm etc, cos i think music unlimited is too expensive at £9.99 p/m, so id go with £6 p/m

You forget, however, that Netflix, etc. streams content that is only valued at 10-30 dollars per unit (I don't know about LBP). Some PS3 games (such as The Last of Us, which will be available at PlayStation Now's launch) still cost 50-60 dollars. Their biggest competition here is GameFly and perhaps GameStop, and Sony provides something that the other two cannot: instant gratification. It would not shock me if the price were a little higher.

There's also the chance that PS+ members could join PS Now for a discount. That has not been decided yet.

I think if that decision happened it would make sense and less people might feel hard done by already paying a PS+ subscription!

I'd pay $49.99 per yr. as long as the catalog is updated regularly.

Absolute max I would go is $8/month for this service. I barely have time to keep up to date with current gen games let alone having time to go back and play classics.

    10 years and counting!

It'll have to be a really low price if I'm even going to think about it. Around $15/year (for PS+ subscribers) or someting like that. I already pay over $70 a year for PS+. I don't have that much time to play older titles (PS2 and such) that this service would be really desirable for me.

Even if I was rich, honestly $5. Because I could just rebuy almost everygame for the same price for the month,

I barely have enough time to play what I've already bought, and I generally don't see myself subbing to it at first. Maybe a rent here and there, but it would have to be really low. Already paying for plus as it is.

I can tell you what I won't be paying for. All the digital PS3 games I have already purchased. That better be available to me at no cost.

If this was a yearly sub, then I would pay the same as PS+.

If the performance and selection is there then I wouldn't mind putting down $10 a month to fire up any old game I want. To be worth it though, the library of games needs to be fairly extensive.

No more than the Netflix subscription cost, £5.99.
