I'm excited enough for this game that I've spent the last 20 minutes or so scouring the net for leaks.

I wonder when a nuclear warhead goes off, does the frame rate of real life drop?

The developers really love the ps4 and call it future orientated.

Ready at Dawn Studio Head Ru Weerasuriya, currently working on*The Order: 1886,**is very enthusiastic about the PS4 and the approach Sony Computer Entertainment took with it, as he told the German website*Play3*in an interview:

Yes, when it comes to working with the PS4 as a platform, I would definitely agree.*It’s easier than on PS3 and so far it has already been a lot of fun.*The initial barrier to break with the platform is definitely lower.*However Regarding the creation of the game itself, this is how things are: Until the experience of the actual game – not matter on what platform – really works, as silly as it may sound, it just takes the time it takes. This cannot be calculated. Sometimes good game mechanics take years to perfect.*Nevertheless, we are satisfied with the high resolution PS4 – more than with any other platform before.

When asked what the studio likes in the console the most,*Weerasuriya answered:

The beauty of it all is not in single component, but rather the total package.*When you put together the system, Sony gained an incredible amount of feedback from developers around the world to satisfies as many requests as possible.*In addition, Sony has designed the PS4 to be very future-oriented.*At the beginning of development of “The Order 1886″ porting our PC-based technology to PS4 was a breeze.*There’s no comparison to the times of PSP and PS3!*They always had the needs of the developers in mind. This – I think – is the Joker that sony can play now.*For example there’s a regular dialogue between us and Mark Cerny’s team.*And yes, they have listened and that’s fantastic!*This is not only for Sony’s first party teams, but pretty much all the other major studios as well.

Reading this kind of enthusiasm, it’s hard not to be quite eager to see what was showcased during the behind-closed-doors presentation held yesterday in London. Strangely enough this interview was published today, but the embargo for the rest of the information and gameplay footage is scheduled to drop on February 28th.

It’s going to be a long two weeks for the fans of*The Order: 1886, that’s pretty much for sure.

The Order: 1886 rumored for Fall 2014 [Preview Embargo Feb 18th]

Anyone fussed this doesn't have multiplayer/co-op?

I couldn't care less personally but from the trailer I thought it was aiming more to co op with the 4 characters etc.

The Order: 1886 locked to 30 fps 'in favor of spectacular effects' and 1080p

So... I don't get it. 30fps will give better cinematic experience?

More stuff and effects on screen the more taxing it is on the machine therefor less frames per second. So expect lots of destruction and stuff on screen. Same reason Killzone is 30fps on single player and 60fps on multiplayer because multiplayer doesnt have all the $#@! on screen that single player does so less taxing and better frames.

I don't mind the 30fps. As long as it doesn't dip and start causing problems. We'll get better graphics.

coop is a downer tho. You have a $#@!ing squad. Why isn't there atleast online campaign coop?

Hopefully this game is over 10 hours.

My kind of game, single player all the way through no need to worry about mp and people grinding to unlock $#@! you don't have time for. Glad they are focusing on sp only, maybe dlc coop missions at a later time

Yeah I'm a bit surprised. I am one that enjoys good single player games and tend to buy them more, but did think it was going to be a multiplayer/co-op game.

Still massively looking forward to it, just would've liked to play with a squad of friends.

but it's do-able right? resogun had lots of $#@! going on at all times and I remember that and being 60fps?

I know resogun is a small game compare to The Order though

Co op would be ok but I'm glad it doesn't have MP. Maybe this is a sign of the times that MP won't be tacked on to every game this gen.

Actually I would love to see a co-op mode, maybe as an add-on at a future date. I like that they are focusing all of their resources to ensure the single-player experience will turn out amazing

The game has to be designed with co-op in mind. It is a story focused game so it would be hard to include co-op.

Games have had co-op through story focused games for almost 2 decades now. You play in a squad of 4 people but its only a single player game? It is already designed for co-op they just dont want to do it.

Not bothered myself, about coop / mp. Like you guys, think it means it will end up being a better sp experience for it.

IF you want co-op try Sven co-op its been around for 15 years ad probably the best in the world.
IT runs on the Half life 1 engine so pretty much any computer made in the last 10 year will be able to run it.
