PS3 didn't have a lot of features that you take granted for now. You most likely weren't a launch PS3 owner?

Why not just use/create a carousel [or as you called it rotating banner] that isn't done with flash? That way you don't have to worry about devices that don't have flash, etc.

A lot of those problems are fixed by setting up more advanced options within the network and internet connection directories. Opening ports and NAT protocols spring to mind right off the bat. (Look up these fixes via Google.)

Sure some. Point is if it is software it will have glitches. I have had a PlayStation for years and years and while the are damn fine machines all of them mess up once or twice. To assume that the ps4 to be as polished with as many apps as its predecessor in the beginning is just nieve

you're not getting the point i'm trying to make. these problems are so tiny and so easy to replicate that one wonders if they just didn't have the time to fix them.

hence, why i stated that these consoles were rushed. not in any way was i trying to imply that we should get a perfect console from day 1.

Then why don't you code it for them and send them the results if it is so simple

Some people probably would consider some of the missing features to be "stupid" glitches.

I'll give you one example -- you could not organize your content into folders (that was added later through an update.)

    --

PS4 should have had a lot of the features (basic ones) at launch so I am not disagreeing. I'm just saying that it was no different with the PS3.

i'm not too bothered about the missing features. but looking at the tiny yet annoying glitches makes me think it was rushed. not to mention they are still not fixed and who knows when they will be.
