    Look over there!!!!

A plonker of a robber gets fooled by the oldest trick in the book.

These moments show an incompetent gunman being duped by a teenage college student - who used an old distraction trick from the Carry On movies to get away from him.

Mugger Jason Dunne, 32, had been waving a pistol at the victim and said: 'Do you want to be shot,?' before demanding his mobile phone.

But the quick thinking 18-year old reacted by suddenly pointing the other way, exclaiming: 'Wow - what's that over there?' - before he punched his distracted attacker in the face as he turned to look.

If I'm not mistaken, the UK is a pretty big surveillance state. It was a big mention when they unveiled their last Olympic mascot.

I assume the police (or whomever) deemed him suspicious so focused on him.

And I so badly wished he would have gone back to his bike only to find that it was stolen. Would have been the icing on the cake.

CCTV mate, we're constantly under its gaze in our town and city centres..

An article published in CCTV Image magazine estimates that the number of cameras in the UK is 1.85 million. The number is based on extrapolating from a comprehensive survey of public and private cameras within the Cheshire Constabulary jurisdiction. This works out as an average of one camera for every 32 people in the UK, although the density of cameras varies greatly from place to place. The Cheshire report also claims that the average person on a typical day would be seen by 70 CCTV cameras.

Greater Manchester has the worst crime rate in the whole of the UK.

An armed mugger was caught because of the cctv cameras instead of getting away and being able to try again.

    +1 cctv.

Staged. I understand about cctv but that wasn't a stationary camera. It was following them.

If I'm wrong, that was awesome, lol.

Think there was spliced footage from several cameras. They are set up to overlap, they have coverage of whole town centres using them. The zoom on them is something else and all..

Suppose you'd just walk in there, $#@! slap him and take his gun away?

One of the problems here is if you get involved in anything like that you risk ending up in court yourself.. This country's $#@!ed up.. We've had our communities in the cities broken by successive governments over the years in a great social experiment, now we're at the point where nobody gives a $#@! about their fellow Briton.. I'm ashamed because that sort of thing is all to common place.. A young soldier had his head hacked off by Islamic extremists in central London in the middle of the day, people either stood there watching or walked away. At least in Glasgow when some religious nutter tried blowing up the airport and set himself on fire he got a good kicking once people realised what he was up to..

If he's dumb enough to fall for the oldest trick in the book then yes.
