    Not me, I'm saving this badboy till I get my PS4. 30 more FPS is reason enough, let alone 1080p with the beautiful looking FOX Engine. It'll be a killer wait but worth it, like with Tomb Raider.

    The lighting setup is fantastic. The PS3 and 360 are certainly showing they still have some legs left to walk on...Just making me look forward to games developed just for PS4 and X1.

    Edit:

    Doing a quick bit of research it looks like they are going down the path a few other studios are now with using physically based/correct lighting and materials.


    Edit: Linear Space Rendering! thats it :P

    Also looks like its a differed based system, which if it is would explain the resolution differences...

    720p does not look next-gen no matter how good the details are. i can't see a person being happy with the next-gen consoles on a small TV. but if you have a big TV, 720p can't look all that. you are losing tons of details no matter which way you slice it.

    after playing BF4 on 900p...it's definitely significantly cleaner but not good enough for me. i refuse to play anything less than 1080p moving forward, especially competitive shooters. i think maybe only games where sharpness does not matter. i sit about 3 feet away from my TV and i want to see the dude laying down 500 meters away so i can pop his head with my AR. and while i don't get a big problem spotting people, i can just imagine how much better it would be.

    as for some thinking X1 will lag behind far more in games that will be for current gen only...i wouldn't confuse this with the notion that X1 will just be stuck with these graphics. once the engines are utilizing both consoles' strenghts, not much will change, the X1 will still be relatively about the same as it is right now (except the games that will be pushing both hard, only then we will see more differences). meaning, the X1 will also see a huge boost in graphics so nothing much will change.

    though i had not realized that 1080p is always going to be a problem due to a large framebuffer size required that ESRAM can't hold...i mean it can hold it but then there's not much else that can be done and that's not good. this should retreat my comment that X1 will eventually display 1080p in most games while reducing the graphics details...i think they will stick to 720p because it seems to me that a much better way to utilize the ESRAM is to not go for the 1080p. or they'd be stuck with its 68GB/s max bandwidth...and that would likely be a much more significant reduction in graphics details/quality...

    i'd assume especially the details from afar will be blurred out due to not having enough bandwidth or the maps would have to be reduced otherwise because inputting/outputting data will be slow as $#@!.

    its just not meant for true 1080p goodness

    This is the problem. The Fox Engine is using a deferred rendering engine, I'm currently watching the presentation they did at GDC 2013. Its using 8+ render targets to build up the final frame which is obviously just too much to be able to store in the ESRAM at 1080p. They must just have to drop them all to 720p or even using a mix of resolutions for the render targets, prioritising some targets over others, to fit everything in the 32MB...
