    *Ask a Question* THREAD!

alright. every time i create a game thread, i fail. here's one more try.

    Rules are:

    1) Ask a question to the poster above you.

    2) If you answer, you must ask someone a question from the thread. (not necessarily above you)

    3) Anyone can join in and ask a question to the last poster in the thread.

    4) If you were asked a question already, until you respond, you can't participate any further.

    5) Ask anything. No rules. No feelings hurt. Start with me.

Update: Ahh. Here we go. much simpler rules to follow.

Why do you fail so bad at making game threads?

i think the rules will need to be changed a bit. for now (and this can change depending on what people want), if the person does not reply within an hour, we move on to the next person in line...however, the person who missed it, can still come back and answer if they choose to.

next person in line is DJ. since shafty already asked, DJ has to respond.

i suppose he means a program from Britain where disabled people do pranks on people.

EDIT: alright so it looks like i $#@!ed it up again, this is too complicated i guess i should make it whatever the thread actually implies. changing it to where you are free to ask the person above you a question. rather than keeping track of who was last and where is what lol.

EDIT: My question to DJ: If you ever had to leave Canada, where would you go?

Japan. I would live in the home they showed in My Neighbour Totoro.

or maybe even this house from Ponyo

i love the idea of living away from civilization.

I've always wanted to be an astronaut or a firefighter. The former because science is sweet as $#@!, and the latter because I liked the idea of saving and helping people. I still do, and I sometimes ponder volunteering for it. And yes, I realize 95% of their calls are for boring non-heroic things. lol

Currently I'm wanting to work with computers though. Not sure what exactly. Maybe become a physicist instead.

I forgot about this thread. So the answer that question I can only assume this is one of clauds' drunken rambling posts. So I do not believe I can accurately answer that question....

We could use some different people in this thread. Sufi why do you suppose people are being jerks and not participating?

excellent question. I'm thinking people may just not see value in it like i did. I created it because I like to know about people's personal lives. and i sometimes have questions about certain people on the forums. so this would've been a nice place to ask, like a game.

i guess i'm supposed to ask someone a question now but i think maybe it would make more sense if someone else participated and then i might ask them a question.

maybe i should just ask everyone a question who enters this thread, to start things off...that is assuming someone new participates

Ok Sufi I have a question for you. There are lots of things that people don't know about or don't know how to do.

What is something you knew little to nothing about, learned about it and got a lot of enjoyment out of it?

    i thought i had replied :S

i wanna say masturbation but let me pick a different one.

i think i'm going to go with Linux. I knew nothing about it. first time i installed it was when PS3 came out and it was completely alien to me. then i bought this netbook (they are all $#@!ty) and i couldn't run anything on it...somehow i had heard about Ubuntu and i went ahead and installed it. needless to say i loved it. but realized soon after that it wasn't that easy to manage the OS.

so long story short, i had to learn quite a lot about how the distro worked. i must have installed 50+ distros on my netbook, some just to check out, some to see if it would be lighter on my netbook. i just wanted something that ran really fast, lighty and had basic features like hibernation and wireless.

so now i have all of that and i'm pretty happy since my netbook works just as good as a pentium 4 lol.

yup, that was fun, been doing it for over a year now. basically learned how to set up just about everything on linux (basic stuff) and now that will save me money over time because i'll probably put that on all of my PCs/Laptops that become too old for new Windows. which likely won't be that far off :S

so pod, how did you get into gaming?

Well I couldn't tell you exactly what time or game did it for me. I had an N64 and there was Mario 64, Super Smash Bros and some other racing game. I didn't have a lot there were like five games or something. But then this Playstation comes along and I've got to have thing. I remember playing Crash Bandicoot, a Spiderman game I think, Coolboarders, Spyro(which this is probably where dinosaurs started for me, dragons and dinosaurs they're similar), Twisted Metal and probably some other stuff but I don't remember.

And it wasn't even that I asked for that N64 it was just 'hey Merry Christmas son we got you this new thing try it' and I went 'OK.' I liked it so much that when I heard about the Playstation I wanted that one. I probably saw a commercial similar to this and went 'YES.' I love Spyro. That was the first game that I really remember getting into.

OH and BTW the first three Spyro games from Insomniac were the bomb. As soon as they handed over the development reins to some other company it was garbage. I like you Insomniac a lot but ya $#@!ed up that one.

This is Spyro ok? He's cool.

And then there's this. Is that Spyro? I don't think so. I dunno who that ugly douchebag is.
