Genius. I wish Sony would have bought out the Cryengine.

If your PC can handle it the Oculus Rift could be good enough to the point where you wont want to play games without it. For Sonys i dont expect much from it since im 100% sure games will need a graphics downgrade in order to get the proper performance necessary for VR. Consoles have limits and will not be VR ready ever unless console gamers are willing to have less graphics for such of an experience (They wont). Majority of console gamers do not care about performance besides "running smoothly enough" so i dont see VR ever catching on in the console side of the industry.

What if I told you there was dedicated hardware to help support VR?

Only way Sony can sell this thing is if its $300 or less. It will be too expensive if it has dedicated hardware unless Sony want to lose a $#@! ton of money.

I don't think games would need a serious down grade, mostly a field of view change.

From what i hear about proper performance for VR even 60fps is not enough. For proper VR, games like Killzone: Shadow Fall would have to look like Killzone 3.

Should probably just wait for GDC to see what they have instore. If they expect to integrate with 3rd party engines such as the CryEngine then I would imagine they may have found a way around the performance issues, possibly through various existing tools such as the PS4Eye or the secondary chip.

Everyone has their personal "cut off" price, but the reality is that much like Eye-Toy and to a lesser degree, Move, this may be around for a while and maybe even longer than just a single generation.

Are we going to see VR remakes of PS3 games? Just imagine.. Take Joel character out of The last of us and BE Joel!!! I'm double dipping!

    Possible games
-Minecraft (WhereTF is the PS4 version?!?!)
    -Dead Island riptide
    -Far cry 3
    -Golden Eye reloaded
    -Rage
    -Portal 2
    -Mirrors edge
    -Skyrim
    -Haze

    etc...

Many First person games could be remade really and some third person with a little work could work as well.

    Next Gen top picks:
    PS4: Infamous SS, DriveClub
    One: Project spark, Forza 5
Multi: Watchdogs, The crew, FFXV, KHIII

So we now have the kicker perhaps? That one piece to the NeoGen puzzle that everyone was hoping would be ready from the get go. (I know people who weren't impressed at either console reveal yet they could never say why for certain. I personally speculate that VR will be that saving grace for them and others looking for more than the graphical leap)

Personally I'd like to believe Sony knows what they are doing, and really wanna get my hands on these goodies
