Amazon, ASDA, and Tesco drop Xbox One Titanfall bundle to 349!

    Linky

Wow! That's a heck of a drop. This is now PS4 price. I don't think this is a sanctioned price cut by MS, but one where the stores obviously think they need to do something to shift some units.

Have to say that at this price I'm half tempted, but still not 100% show what I'll do yet. I'm absolutely loving my PS4 to bits and really don't feel the need to pick up the One just yet. Only Forza 5 would pull me.

[Edit] now available for 339. See post #23

I tell you what. If I could change the deal to include Forza instead of Titanfall I'd pick it up today

Nothing out I'm really interested in for it so will wait for the next price cut but for those who want to bite, it is a great price.

Early adopters must be livid. We all know there is a price to pay to a day 1 owner but a 80 (?) cut and Titanfall included.... Sheesh I know I'd be pissed at roughly a 120 saving.

I'm probably going to approach this the same way I did the 360. Wait until some must-haves start to pop up (last gen it was Mass Effect and Fable 2) and then get it. Difference is that last time around, the best multiplat versions were on the 360. So not quite as much motivation this time around to get an Xbox. I'm sure it will happen at some point though.

Exactly. Nothing I want exclusive wise and no point getting one for the inferior multiplats

if i did not own one already, there is just not enough exclusives to warrant the purchase of an Xbox ONE anytime soon, regardless of price.

What do we mean by "sanctioned"? When Amazon and others dropped the price initially, MS said this was the retailers doing.....nothing to do with MS. Just not sure how MS would "sanction" retailer price.

That's a very good deal. I'm curious as to when we will see a deal like this in the US. It'sgoing to be a while before I buy one. Just waiting on that stand out exclusive. Then I'll get that and the back catalog of games that came out.

HMV online now doing it for 339 with this voucher code XVXBOX. Tesco responded and reduced to the same, but only for new accounts. Might be worth setting up a throwaway email account at Tesco just to get another tenner off.

I wonder if these retailers are clearing out stock for a newer, cheaper model in the works.

There has to be. Otherwise I don't understand why retailers are cutting the price and taking the hit from their own pockets. If there's no official price cut then I don't see why retailers would order more and try to sell it at normal prices. These deals have been in MS's strongest markets for a month now and going back to the regular price would hurt sales big time.
