GTA:V Coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC This Fall

Title and picture says it all.

    http://www.rockstargames.com/V/videos

Can't wait to see more videos and screenshots from PS4 and especially PC. What they showed looked amazing and that traffic density shown would be amazing.

^ That's why you go PC. Mod files and adjust the traffic to your wishes. Or maybe they'll be nice and include a slider for that again.

Even if fuzziness persists, I'd have to buy simply because 6 will likely take too long to get here. We'll likely have DLC to extend this game and then another RDR game. We'd maybe get one sooner, but R* North still has another 7 years to work on Agent.

Anticipating a PS3 upgrade option. Otherwise I might just opt for the pc version further down the line.

Yes! Can't wait for the PC version. I waited out, and admittedly lost interest so this is a nice surprise.

Can't wait for someone to do an ironman mod for this one!

Here is the type of thing I'm waiting to see more of... comparison shots from the current gen consoles and those from the trailer.

Also, the opening and ending paragraphs on the Steam page:
Grand Theft Auto V for PC will take full advantage of the power of PC to deliver across-the-board enhancements including increased resolution and graphical detail, denser traffic, greater draw distances, upgraded AI, new wildlife, and advanced weather and damage effects for the ultimate open world experience.

Grand Theft Auto V for PC will also feature a video editor designed for advanced movie-making.
    Cannot wait.

I'm hyped for this because even on the 360/PS3 I still thought the game looked good (considering the circumstances). So I really want to see it myself on my PC with these upgraded graphics. I'll probably spend my first week dicking around the city in multiplayer and causing trouble.

It did look good on previous gen, but there still appears to be a pretty big bump for current gen and PC. Along with the stuff like grass and fuller trees and bushes you have the stuff like new wildlife, more traffic, better damage models, increased AI and "advanced" weather.

Depending on how much better the new textures are, I think it could blow Watch Dogs out of the water graphically across all platforms. It already has WD beat on previous gen. It'll be interesting to see how V on PC (and maybe even PS4) stacks up to the Watch Dogs reveal trailer.

Oh and speaking of Watch Dogs, V looks like it will have tree movement as well.

It's like that on purpose, either artistically, or as a characteristic of the engine.

It's not that it can't be clear. R* obviously think the way it is currently presented offers the best trade-off between, cinematic, and immersive quality.

DoF is present in all games, and is usually heavier in open world games. Otherwise you'd get the Skyrim effect:

This is what it should look like:

decent enough fore and background on the console, but the middle ground leaves a lot to be desired.

ENB's (which are used for modding the programs shaders) are inefficient as sin! You need a high end PC to pull off decent ENB settings. You need a crap tonne of VRAM and a pretty powerful GPU core. None of the techniques used by the profiles are properly optimized, which is why a profile for Fallout, will work for Mass Effect....etc. You can also run a game at 200FPS and an ENB will bring it crashing down to 4.

The devs have to hide the lack of detail somehow. Even using ENB's, PC modders will usually accompany the shaders with 2k or higher texture packs. LOD is a requirement of an open world games, and the models do not look anything near as impressive as the stuff you'll get up close.

As you turn up the resolution, the models to the right become more obvious. Hiding it behind a DoF effect stops you from ever seeing that it's made of X triangles and a 24x24 texture.

The point being, its a lot of work to bring "clarity" to something. Not to mention RAM and bandwidth consuming. Besides, GTA5 is a crap tonne clearer than GTA4 was. So you could say the blurriness is a subset of the way their engine works to produce the best possible image......You don't have to look far for info regarding what happens to modded games. Pushing the engine usually causes issues with it. It's a double edged sword

I personally think it works well. The DoF isn't too aggressive, and naturally brings your eye toward the foreground. While the 'vista's' could do with bringing it down a bit, i don't have any particular qualms regarding image 'clarity' for GTA5

    EDIT:
On a slight tangent - I quite liked the trailer. The pick up at the 50 sec mark was very nice!
as trailers go, 9.5 out of 10!

I gave it another watch and had me thinking, I was hoping for more time lapse stuff from the game. Hopefully with the improved graphics through mods and an actual video editing program with the game on the PC version, we'll have something like this video. One of my favorites.

If anyone is interested in others, here are his two other videos from that series.

No one knows yet. Might be minimal or it could be huge. We'll see closer to the time. I'm speaking purely about the vanilla version. With mods it probably will look better

My guess would at least be resolution. We may not even know until release, but I would assume PC would have better AA and maybe even textures, shadows, reflections, view/detail distance and maybe water and weather.

As good as consoles are, I don't think they should ever look as good as PC games, because there will always be hardware more powerful than what's in those boxes and developers should make use of that hardware (not trying to bash consoles, but it's a fact newer and better hardware gets released during the lifetime of a console).

As BBK said, with mods, it won't even be a contest which is better graphically. Just looking at a handful of GTA:IV ENB/4K pictures tells you that.
