    To be fair, the thumbs down just increases the chance of arguments and animosity. I think that was probably a good decision.

    It was being heavily abused. I don't think anyone really even noticed ... except the people abusing it.

    Yeah....good point. A lot of newer gaming sites are foregoing forums altogether (like dual shockers) in favor of services like disqus.

    If we can make it so folks can log in/register with their twitter, Facebook, whatever then I'm hoping that will bring some more traffic. But that is part of the plan Varsh and I are working on with the new forum software. All in time...

    Good idea. Certainly wouldn't lose you any traffic and so it could only improve things. The moderating would perhaps be more burdensome (can you still ban people, prevent spam bots, etc)
