The only good workaround I have found is the copy the file to the PlayStation and then disconnect it from the internet (aka, unplug the LAN cord)

oh crap, what a great idea. you can also turn off the internet from the settings, can't you? or is that on the PS4 only? either way, awesome thanks.

You can do it that way as well, but I just find it easier to unplug the cord when I want to watch something...that bad thing is all the movies I watch are seriously legit movies that I own, when I purchase a blu-ray (which yes I own a f- ton of them) I rip the blu-ray and remux it into a MP4 file with DTS-HD Master Audio and store them on my NAS, so from there I stream them to my consoles, etc. in full blu-ray quality, so Cinavia has definitely pissed me off quite a bit...

A pause options for downloads is something that I didn't think I would still be screaming for at this point.

i'm becoming fearful that they may not support DLNA this gen. just have a hunch. i can't explain it. and they would save RAM by doing this too. they are too focused on making the console "cool" for the casuals first. they will get to the media part much later.

Tidux is stating it will hit before gamescom and it will have media support. This will make or break his creditability

I don't think RAM would be an issue with DLNA support, it is not like you would be streaming video, etc. while you are playing a game, so the only time it would be in RAM would be when you aren't playing a game. I would also like to finally see the Youtube app in there as well, I like to use my tablet to navigate while the game console streams videos, right now I have to go through the browser with can be a little bit annoying at times, but it does serve as a temporary work around until they get the app on the console!

you're right, i forgot that they can just suspend the game and run the program and you can only run one program at a time, it just flushes out the RAM used by the previous and you run the new one. this way, you can run whichever amount of programs you wanted.

it's actually a brilliant design and "ALL" phones should have it. at least give us the option. i'd want some apps to close when i exit out of them on my phone.

Think it just means the Blog have just received news of it meaning an article will be up soon once it is typed, checked and approved.

Process could likely take a few days though.

Sony is like with fw updates what MS is like with games.

I would still rather a "in your face" surprise than this constant teasing. I'm growing tired of waiting on news as it is that I really don't like to know that the news is "coming soon" making the wait even more unbearable.
