Download the new update now, it's live!
    Version 1.74.

The main features will blow your mind.
System software stability during use of some features has been improved.

lol wow, sony is so bad at this, unbelievable!

well since the OS is still so buggy sometimes, hopefully this fixes some of those issues. or maybe it won't like last time.

Another thing I would love to see would be the addition of a Games folder on the menu bar so all my games aren't randomly spread across the long @$$ menu! As it sits there are games I am forgetting about because they are all the way to the right of the menu...not sure why they didn't implement this from the get go like they did with the video services!

yeah, when they'll come, they'll come. i just sort of use my PS3 for anything the PS4 can't do. we use the PS4 more for watching netflix right now but my son does play games on it sometimes. though he also prefers the PS3. kids, they get it.

It's possible they are disguising some features into the 1.74 and branding it "software stability" in order to shrink the size of 1.80 and all will unlock with the main update? Maybe?

Are there any new features announced already?

Like we knew some time ago that ShareFactory is coming etc. So maybe there's a list of Sony promises compiled somewhere?

I believe only 3 features are officially announced that we are yet to see appear.

    1. Youtube App
    2. Ability to leave your game on whilst in standby.
    3. Ability to remotely play on a friends PS4 with access to their game library from your own PS4.

    Thanks.
    Just #2 looks interesting.

Partly because current wake up time from standby (25 seconds) is longer than my patience can accept. Sony, it's 21st century for pete's sake!!

    Firstly, Valar dohaeris

Secondly, wasn't there that feature where we can just jump into the game to help out buddies out?! Or was that just too far fetched a concept that they canned it?

    Valar morghulis.

That was number 3 on my list, may not have been that clear tho.
Also it has not been scrapped yet, was talked about some months ago as still coming.

Coming soon: PS4 system software update 1.75 adds 3D Blu-ray film support.
    https://twitter.com/PlayStationEU/st...11939770667008

Well that is another item off the list, this is probably the update Fred was referring to since it is coming from PSEU.

This is only a 0.0x update. The 3D support was most likely due to be released with the next 0.x0 update but SONY probably rolled it out on it's own following MS announcement.

Next update probably looked like this (dreams dreams dreams)
    -DLNA support
    -Suspend/resume
    -Media support
    -3D Blu-ray support

Now it's gonna look like this instead
    -DLNA support
    -Suspend/resume
    -Media support

Can you get a job at Sony working in the FW Update division advising of FW update content? I want everything you listed - plus the ability to change PSN ID (which won't be a fw update of course)
