    A PS2 steering wheel on PS3 problem

    Hello there!
I recently bought Gran Turismo 6 for PS3. I had a steering wheel (Speedster 2) for the PS2, and I wanted to play with it on the PS3 too. So I bought a PS2 to PS3 connect. They said it will fit. It's supposed to.

It arrived yesterday. I took the wheel and plugged it. Needless to say hence the fact that You're reading this: it didn't work. I don't know why.

So I plugged a Ps2 controller. It worked. I plugged a not original (not Sony) controller and it also worked. The wheel is like a not original controller, but I don't understand how can I make it work?

Do we know if GT6 works with generic wheels?

Could it be that GT6 has compatibility only for the specific wheels listed in game?

I don't know man I know that you can choose from generic wheels but there is no reason why it would not work. It transmits the same signals. An X is an X, aN O is an O, a Left is a Left. Any ideas how to fix it? I mean what's the difference between pressing X for gas in a controller or a gas pedal that is like pressing X.

Yeah.. The gas pedals on old wheels are X-button, huh..? That doesn't bode well for old wheels on ps4, or does it..? :/

I think you didn't get it. The old pedal for gas IS X. and for gas you need to press X on the controller.

But the problem is very different. The PS3 doesn't even recognize the wheel. Meaning I can't even use it in the main PS XMB menu. I checked and a normal controller (PS2) works there. The wheel should work. It's like the adapter recognizes only the controller and it doesn't make any sense because they send the same signals. Right, Left, X, O and so.

What I wrote was meant as a digression.

    A PS2 steering wheel on PS3 problem

Anyways, I need a solution. I wanna return to playing GT in the best way. The other wheel was expensive (I guess. I got it as a gift long time ago) and a new one will be very expensive.
