Maths is biased! It keeps telling me the PS4 is 50% more powerful than XboxOne!

Looks comfier than the vita being able to use the DS4, no rear touch pad and touch screen for the missing buttons. Like that control mount too!

Hopefully not limited to the XPERIA but probably is. I'd do it with one of my Tablets or even my Galaxy S4, but wouldn't buy an XPERIA for that feature alone.

As reported by The Verge, a Sony representative commented that the company has “no Intent to bring remote play to any device other than Xperia.
Another article also states it has to be through home wifi not any wifi or 3/4G, so won't be replacing my vita as I use that over 4G while I'm out and about. If it was doable over 4G I'd definitely consider the Z3.

This means that as long as you’re on home Wi-Fi, you can play your PS4 wirelessly on your phone or tablet screen with a DualShock controller. The Remote Play will only work, however, if the phone is sharing the same Wi-Fi network as the PS4 you want to sync with.

The Z3 phone is a little too small but this would do it more than nicely, the Z3 tablet (8'') which also supports Remote Play, the only con is that it will probably be overpriced and there's only 16gb of storage on board.

XDA Devs will likely have it side loading on all androids by the end of the week. Besides, Xperia Z line is one of the best androids on the market, so when the time comes, Xperia Z3 is just logical.

I'm still on my Xperia Z. My contract finishes next May, just in time for Xperia Z4.

Also i can understand why they haven't provided full-on Remote play where we can remote play while outside or at work. Imagine the latency on 3g or 4g. Hopefully they allow wifi soon.

Remote play is just video streaming, the DS4 connects via Bluetooth, so probably the same as watching video while using bluetooth headphones

I remote play the vita tethering it to my 4G mobile contract and the lag is virtually non existent, to the point where I've even played the multiplayer modes of killzone, BF4 and AC black flag over 4G and it's been flawless.
Hopefully the Z3 will be able to do the same at some point.

While they are pretty good phones, and they'd be in my 2nd rung to consider (HTC One's, Sony Z's, and LG G's) they all seem to be 6mo+ behind Samsung S's. And when I upgrade, it will be to the latest (and a release of the latest not 6mo later because then I'd wait for the next gen to come.)

The Z3 is just now coming out and it's basically doesn't have anything on the S5 which came out in Feb 2014 and the S5 has some extra features like the 'Go to Monochrome and kill everything but critical to give you 24hrs worth of phone service on the last 10% of the battery charge'.

I damn near went ahead and upgraded my S4 to the S5 for that, but I just got in May of 2013.

If they do catch up to Samsung, I'd seriously consider them.

No specific Smarthphone loyalty, it's about what it offers to me.

Well, guess I know what my next smartphone will be

Isn't there a way to attach your PS Vita to your DualShock or would it be too heavy?

Should have had the wife sitting on the bed in lingerie waiting for him to join her. Ha.

Gonna buy the Z3 tablet for this, have been meaning to pickup a tablet for a while now and this is the perfect reason to get one.

    From my thread:

Sony has announced its newest phones in their Z line will support remote play. However a controller is needed and a reasonable internet. T3 has great previews on this phone it's remote play feature:http://www.t3.com

I'm hoping the oft rumored Z3X does come out in January with it's insane specs and this feature.

My recent foray into Diabetes has made me very happy I got the Z Ultra the same week I started the antibiotic that seemingly killed my pancreatic function pretty good.

I love that phone, actually easy to hold as thin as it is.

I can see limitations using the Vita, if someone wants to do this great but its not for me and having my phone die flat in 4hrs? No thanks.
But the Xperia Z3? Come February it'll be mine.

I'm still using my Xperia Z1 and its awesome. This is a good reason to upgrade. I like xperia for its superb battery life and I heard that Z3 and Z3C can run up to two days with single charge. Awesome.

Yea, I was reading about the tests performed on that and it was like 5 hours of actual use a day.

So 10 hours basically if you were to use it non-stop.
That is impressive.... (if it actually does last that long in the real world).

I have a Z1 and it lasts a day with possibly around 3-4 hours of physical use. Maybe not even that much?

It seems the lag is almost non-existent. Check the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZaVEhfSSH_0

My Z1 often last 1 day with all connectivity switched on (bluetooth,GPS,NFC,wifi) and I even use sony smartwatch (the phone communicate with the smartwatch quite frequent)... and I don't even have a powerbank. This why I love xperia.
