She would have had to quit anyway, it was going to come out eventually that she was the owner and it could be said she used her position in the media to gain publicity for her own benefit which would have prompted an investigation into impartiality and bias.
    Probably.

I have so much respect for her doing that. That's an awesome way to go out. I think she had a feeling she would get fired because of that club affiliation and decided because her news station is full of ignorant $#@!s who are against marijauna, then she quit on air to avoid the backlash. The other anchors reaction was $#@!ing priceless. Like she was stung a bee.

You are correct. It would be construed as a professional conflict of interest. Either way though, she went out on top. She gets to make the TV station look bad and bias while promoting her business. She wins regardless of what happens. Free advertising without going though regulations too. Her business will see a boon.

I know a lot of ignorance about, leaves me speechless.

edit: Respect to her though for standing up for what she believes in. Love to see some legal cafes here in the UK but hell will freeze over before that happens.

Yup a few legal cafés would be sweet. But Amsterdam would crumble overnight. I always get so jealous when I'm there and it's done in such a civilised manner. Walk into greenhouse, pick up my two favourite strains then watch the world continue to spin and society function as normal.

We have a lot to learn from our liberal neighbours.

Never been to Amsterdam myself. Peeps tell me it's actually pretty expensive. Still will make the trip sometime in near future, it's really not that far away.

I've been 5 times now, never gets old. Funny thing about Amsterdam is that if it's fun to do, it's relatively cheap. If you need it to survive, so food and drinks, then it's bloody expensive. Spent €80 on a round of three 3 double Jack Daniels and cokes. That was the last bit if alcohol I ever bought in Amsterdam unless it's with a meal.
There's a favourite place of mine which does all you can eat spare ribs for €15
Even a normal glass of coke in a coffee shop is expensive. If we go in the summer we typically go to out favourite coffee shops, stock up go to a supermarket and chill in the Vondelpark.

    Man I love Amsterdam
