Nintendo turns 125 today! What's your earliest/best Nintendo memory?

Nintendo began as a playing card company in 1889 but it was the transition into video games in the '70s that earned it the worldwide recognition it has today. Technically, Nintendo's 125th anniversary doesn't start until tomorrow for us here in the US, but since it's already September 23 in Japan, we thought we'd kick off the congratulations a little early.

What's your earliest/best Nintendo memory? For me, it was going over to a friends house to play through the original Metroid on the NES. We slowly worked our way together through the game's labyrinths, not using guides and way before walkthrough videos. At the time, it was intense, scary, and one of the reasons Mother Brain still freaks me out.

My earliest memory was playing Super Mario World on the SNES but I would have to say that my best was playing through Metroid Fusion on the GBA. I loved the gameplay, graphics, and how the SA-X instilled fear whenever it was in view.

Playing Super Mario 3 on the SNES when I was 2-3 years old, I think. That was the beginning of my gaming love.

Remember playing Super Mario World. It was at my grandma's apartment and I caught my brother playing it in the living room. It was so much fun. Then I felt in love with Donkey Kong Country. Cranky is actually the most entertaining one out of the clan.

Earliest Memory - My first console and game ever was Mario Bros 1/ Duck Hunt combo cartridge on NES.

Best Memory - NES and SNES were just Godlike and fun times.

Gameboy, the game was 'Home Alone' but the fact it was portable made it amazing.
Had played Mario on the NES before then but I grew up with an Atari 520ST so I'd already played games of greater calibre.

It's a tough call. It was definitely either playing Zelda with my sister at our house or playing Mike Tyson's Punch-Out with my cousin at my grandfather's house.

First game I had was some stupid shooting game on the SNES didn't have gun but the guy gave me the game anyway. Couldn't play it. My like 5th birthday was a bust. So for Christmas I was given MK3 and Super Mario All Stars. First 2 games I played first 2 games I loved. After that I stuck with Nintendo until the gamecube. Once I saw the wii I realized what type of gamer I was and bought an X box 360. Worst decision of my life. But I stuck through. Now I have a collection of 200 broken X box 360's and I bought a ps3 and ps4. Now I have no complaints. I'm just trying to enjoy our current generation of games.
