Glad Tales is getting dual-audio so this will likely be one of the last ps3 game I'll pick up.
On ps3, really? No ps4 edition...(•_•)
Stop preordering games! Stop buying day1 games! Stop being idiots!
There's been rumors of a PS4 release and a Steam release. Lot of anime namco gaming coming to Steam such as Saint Seiya,DBZ and Naruto. We'll find out in due to heard there's going to be some surprise announcements since its Tales 20th anniversary and one of them just got announced in the trailer is that Zestiria has dual audio.

I get the sense a PS4 version is inevitable. It'd significantly increase sales as I think a lot of people have put their PS3s in the attic by now.
The system is also crying out for a good JRPG. And this looks like one of the most ambitious in the series yet.
It'd also be easy enough to upgrade in terms of the art, though I can't comment on the code (I'm lead to believe they are very different architectures?)

Yes there is also a Tales Festival in Japan in June-July so if there's a PS4 announcement in Japan or West we likely find out then. Many rumors going about it. We got some good JRPGs coming but most of them will likely come out next year or the one after.
Good cross platform JRPGs coming such as Persona 5 and Star Ocean 5 they say Persona 5 is coming this year but im unsure about that ae.
Yeah I would like Tales to go back to more Tales Of Vesperia graphic wise. Open World is a good direction many people want it so much in games now so im looking forward to playing this regardless.

I was still shocked to see they would be releasing this on the PS3 but I guess it can't be help, looks like i'll have to take out ye ol PS3!
I will miss Tales of Xillia 1 & 2, those two games were my favourite in the tales series, next to Tales of The Abyss.

I too enjoyed Xillia 1 & 2 loved the cast a lot but im glad they are moving onto something else. Would love Tales of Abyss in HD with a cut-scene skip option.

Looking forward to this because I loved Graces battle system and enjoyed Xillia's cast.

Graces was done by Wolf Team who created Eternia and Destiny etc and Graces had a different style of graphics compared to Vesperia then there was Xillia which tried to combine Graces and Vesperia's graphics together.
Wolf Team and Symphonia Team became one team when Xillia was in development.
Yeah as for the persuasion just $$$$$$$. Vesperia PS3 in Japan sold more than 360 worldwide.

Yet Tales was in decline then. Thank you MS despite some of your funding. Not sure if Sony done any funding towards the Tales games but I do know Sony helped funded NIS's Disgaea 5.
With E3 around the corner hopefully there will be more info and trailer at E3.

Decline? Hasn't the series been consistenly perched somewhere between average and quite good?

Well I meant sales wise after Vesperia. Took a lot of demand from fans to release Tales in the west again and so far it's been paying off. But yes the series is average-good overall as you said. Nevertheless I still enjoying the new installments as well loved Xillia 1 and 2 as well as Graces.

Yeah the sales are fairly typical for an average series of just jumping all over the place. What they really need is just 1 awesome game that has the kind of FF7 effect where they grab hold of much larger audience that then stays for subsequent entries.

Well i'd say Destiny or Symphonia would be one of the closest to FF7 for a Tales game sales wise the first Tales to take off in the west. Well I personally put story, graphics and gameplay over sales want to keep their formula that keeps the series Tales rather than turning it into something else.
Love skits personally it gives the series and characters personality kinda like real life. Crack a joke or come up with different topics rather than in other JRPGs it's feelings, describing parts of the story or telling where to go etc.
Open world is the right direction just need to do some more effort in it in places.
