The game that got you started with PlayStation

IOW, the first ever game you played on a playstation console

For me , it was this game on ps1

I saw rogue trip running on a playstation at a game store and made my mind to get the console. At this time, the car combat games that created buzz were the twisted metal games, but rogue trip was one mighty awesome game in itself. And this is how i began on playstation.

    What about you?

Like any kid I loved dinosaurs. I played this at a friend's place and I needed a Playstation. First game I had was Spyro though.

I'm pretty sure Resident Evil was my first game, then Wipeout 2097. The latter was an amazing racer in all regards and no furore iteration matched the feel off the game in terms of the airbrakes. Drifting arOund corners never felt so responsive again, nor did the combat feel so well integrated.

This is like the first game I played on the PlayStation console back when I was young. It's basically a 1 vs. 1 fighting game with some of the Star Wars characters like Han Solo, Boba Fett, Darth Vadar, and etc..

Twisted Metal. I originally wanted a Sega Saturn but the price kept me from getting one and plus I was a big Sega guy. When a friend bought a Playstation, I was impressed right away. Bought one myself and never looked back. Lots of memories playing Twisted Metal with friends.

Resident Evil on PS, I remember a friend had it and being mesmerised by the movie intro to the game. Okay so it looks pretty low quality and cheesy now but back then it was unbelieveable (but still cheesy)

My first games that I got with my PS1 were Resident Evil and Tekken 2 and I remember my friends gathered around watching me play Resident Evil; it was like nothing we had see before. We still quote that game to this day.

I'm a bit ashamed that I have no memory of buying a playstation at all, though I definitely had one.

The earliest game I remember playing was probably the original Crash Bandicoot. I remember thinking that was the best game ever until Mario 64 came out a year or so later.....and then Spyro.

The game that sealed me as a ps gamer was FFVII. But the first fond memories I have with the system includes Worms, Tekken and most of all the PlayStation magazine demo discs. Played Metal Gear Solid: VR missions on to name a few.

Crash Bandicoot and then I recall some baja racing type demo disc that I played over and over.

It look like Rally Cross was the game, and a comment on this video confirms it was on the demo disc that came with the system.

I originally saw FIFA soccer on PS2. I really really wanted to get a Playstation at that point. It took me a while, and I ended up getting a PS3, and Uncharted was my first game.

I'd probably say it was a combination of Tomb Raider and Twisted Metal at a buddies house. I tormented my parents all year until I got one for Christmas in 97 i believe. Been rolling deep since.
