I would love to hear your opinions, especially from other fans of the MotorStorm series.Black screen. The sound of heavy rain hitting glass.
An engine roars. Glimpse of first race; through the eyes of a rally car driver in a rainy nighttime jungle. Some sort of hover vehicle racing in front.
Sound cuts out. Black screen. Text, "Sony Computer Entertainment Presents".
Engine sounds resume. Glimpse of second race; through the eyes of a yellow buggy (Wombat Typhoon) driver in a sunny desert with massive rock temples abound. To the left, we see a hover bike keeping pace at high speed. To the right, the wheel of a monster truck turning to crush our first person perspective.
Sound cuts out. Black screen. Text, "Evolution Studios".
Engine sounds resume, now accompanied with war-like electronic music. Glimpse of third race; a sweeping third person perspective of a variety of MotorStorm vehicles racing through an overcast weathered industrial park. Camera changes to focus on hover bikes and WipEout-esque vehicles following close behind. The hover bike in the middle of this new pack races into the screen.
Black screen. War-like electronic music reaches its climax. A gray metallic MotorStorm logo morphs into a newer, badass logo.
Post-title footage; brief glimpse of one last race in a snowy environment. We see a hover bike tear through the snow from behind, heating it up and disappearing into the white horizon as a monstrous big rig (like some sort of "boss vehicle" from Twisted Metal) follows.
You're probably thinking how hover bikes from Jet Moto and futuristic vehicles from WipEout could co-exist in a series like MotorStorm where there's a huge emphasis on vehicle type and specific routes. In my opinion, these futuristic vehicles that would be introduced would be based on imperfect technology. They might be slightly faster than modern bikes and cars but they're a little unwieldy, so taking certain shortcuts would be a huge risk but rewarding once mastered.

What that idea is missing is the party aspect of Motorstorm, which I think makes it feel unique. I always liked the idea of a huge desert racing party, and while the menu screens presented that well, the actual races didn't really portray that. If Evolution makes another MotorStorm, I feel they need to incorporate the festivities within the gameplay more.
That idea you posted seems more like a serious war setting, which I wouldn't want.

I agree about the festival environment (it's one reason I enjoyed Pacific Rift) but I also feel like there could be an emphasis on a different breed of lunatic mixing in with the usual lunatics. Sorry if it sounds like a "serious war"; that's not my intention. Thanks to Kwes for the signature!

I have to admit I like the idea personally, I also think that a "festival" feel would be a great addition also, really liked the whole thing they did with Need for Speed Pro Street with the festival feel, just a shame the handling of the cars was horrendous! Wonder if we will ever see a Motorstorm game appear again.......

Would be really interesting if they did, considering Sony feels that the racing genre is a difficult market, although the comment was in response to a Driveclub sequel. Thanks to Kwes for the signature!
