2 xbox ones, 1 xbox live account?

Have recently purchased another xbox one. I have one downstairs on main TV and one upstairs in the bedroom.

Can I use 1 xbox live account on both consoles? How do I set it up so that if I was to buy xbox live gold that it would work on both consoles, eliminating having to buy it twice?

    Any help appreciated!

As long as the account you have Xbox Live Gold on is logged-in you shouldn't have a problem. You can assign one of those Xbox One's to be the 'home' console, which allows offline access to games you have bought from the store, etc.

Yeha I cant imagine it works any different to 360 live, sign in, and your away.

Now, in saying that, Xbox one does mena anyone using you gold aco$#@! on the console cna now play. So it may actually be more tied to the console.

If you want to people to play at once, my guess would be.

1/ Share gold on one of the consoles only. Get them to play on that signed in as themselves (they dont need gold, but they do need to sign in with a Microsoft account).

2/ You sign in as you on the other one (dont share gold on this console).

    Just a guess,.

It becomes tied to the console once it has been assigned to be the 'home' one. That is the only way you can share with everyone on the same box.

That's what I assume, much like you used to have the content license transfer option, expect it deals with gold now as well.

Designate an Xbox One console as your home Xbox

Note You can designate only one console as your home Xbox.

Scroll left from Home to open the guide.
    Select Settings.
    Select All Settings.
    Select Personalisation.
    Select My home Xbox.
Review the information, and then do one of the following:
Select Make this my home Xbox to designate the console as your home Xbox.
Select This is not my home Xbox to remove the designation.

Can I change my home Xbox console to a different console?

You can change which console is your home Xbox up to three times during a one-year period. When you change home consoles, all device licences for digital content will move to your new home Xbox. These device licences will no longer be available on your old "home" Xbox.
So yeah, what I said above.
Have one as your home console, with shared gold, use that one for all your family/friends, use the one you use most often by yourself as you non home console.

We do this with the two 360's in our house.

The kids console has my license on it, so all my content is their for them to play without a gold account.
The console in the lounge that I play o, I or the kids have to sign in as me.
Works fine, both machines have same content.
