    New Sega Genesis Console...

First Nintendo, now Sega. Sega is one-upping on Nintendo though.

80 games built in, plus a handheld version.

Ball is in your court Nintendo.

Apparently these things suck and have been around for years. They just update the games but never the hardware. I mean, we're in 2016 and it only outputs composite instead of HDMI?!?! I've read the sound is pretty bad and the included controller sucks although there's a port for an original controller.

There have been knock-offs, but not official retro consoles, correct?

Correct. From what I read, Sega basically gave them permission to use the games but it's not an official Sega product like what Nintendo is doing with the mini NES.
