The Lust List: 10/23/06
This week's List is full of hot Wii on 360 action.
by Daemon Hatfield
October 23, 2006 - This week the overall top ten is evenly split between Wii and Xbox 360 titles. It is now less than a month until the launch of Nintendo's new console, and your lust for Twilight Princess remains unabated. It's interesting to see that the Wii version is the object of your desires, as many remain skeptical as to whether or not its Wii-mote control will be superior to the GameCube version. And it looks like those Red Steel videos we posted last week convinced many of you to add the game to your wishlists, as Ubisoft's FPS has popped into the top ten at number nine.
We're also less than a month away from the launch of the PlayStation 3 -- and there are still no PS3 titles in the overall top ten. Granted, IGN posted a ton of new PS3 content last Friday after Sony's Gamers' Day event, so we might see a game or two from the new system pop up next week.
Here are the overall top ten wishlist adds for the week of October 16-20:
- The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (Wii)
- Super Mario Galaxy (Wii)
- Assassin's Creed (X360)
- Gears of War (X360)
- Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Wii)
- Halo Wars (X360)
- Metroid Prime 3: Corruption (Wii)
- Halo 3 (X360)
- Red Steel (Wii)
- Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas (X360)
The top ten for the Xbox 360 this week sees the usual suspects in spots one through five, but Monster Madness comes out of nowhere to tie Lost Planet at number seven. And it looks like all the attention Marvel: Ultimate Alliance is getting is convincing many of you to check it out.

Hmmm......thats amazing! It is very hard to believe that there are absolutely NO PS3 titles on that list. I know I would have one jey one on my list.
In the end great news for the Wii and the 360 as of late.

It's excitement over them FINALLY going back to do it the way they always wanted to.
It's going to kick so much ass.

Oh yeah I completely forgot about wii60. Any way good to see them doing well for themselves. That said there is very little on the PS3 at the moment that is a 'must have app' so this isn't surprising.

Weird that Assassin's Creed made it on there the way it did. Maybe because it's being delayed, so they clicked on it to find out more? It's just strange because there's very little hype for it on www.gamespot.com. Doesn't make the top 10, but games like Splinter Cell and Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 do.

I thought people were harping on about it being cheaper for the last 4 months before the Wii price was announced?

Twenty four thousand, nine hundred and ninety nine dollars?
Sounds reasonable.

Except, of course, 360 is pretty much pain in the ass without HDD. So I would say $400, not $300. Hell, I pretend that kind of retard pack doesn't even exist.
Pretty much every game on that list deserve to be in top 10. But then again, so does many other game too. Hard, isn't it =(Man who chase after bus get exhausted, man who run in front of bus get tired
Man who masturbates in class has firm grip of subject at hand
Woman who sink in man's arms soon have arms in man's sink

10-25-2006 #22I believe it's called "small man" syndrome, need for the small guy to make a big impression. I've hanged out at a few Mac forums over the years (Mac user here) and while not all of them are bad the majority are, they just can't seam to accept that not everyone like them things. (They are really cool though) B)The worst fanboys are those in the minority as they always feel as if they have to go on the offensive to try and convert the majority...

I thought small man syndrome was literally about short people, they act all agressive to make up for the fact they look like a garden gnome.

This just became very confusing.
The thing why there isn't games like MGS4 and FFXIII could be because it's still long way to go before those two will be launched and second thing is that there has been no new information at all.
And when looking at the list you see games which are a) soon getting released and b) games which we heard something new. Halo 3 is only exception on this one and I think people are now checking if there was anything about it in X06 because they heard something about some Halo- game from friend etc.
Or not. Just speculation =(Man who chase after bus get exhausted, man who run in front of bus get tired
Man who masturbates in class has firm grip of subject at hand
Woman who sink in man's arms soon have arms in man's sink

The most satisfying part is when people don't get your humour, it's like you got one over 'em.

I guess you're probably right about the lack of new information holding back PS3 titles, but i still would have thought there would be at least ONE SINGLE title up there, it's like nobody is thinking about the PS3 anymore.
